Did you know that two seconds is all it takes or thirty seconds at most, for people to assess your likeability, confidence, warmth, trustworthiness, status and competence? It happens subconsciously. The way you smile, your gait, posture, dressing and how you present yourself is all evaluated in that half a minute.
So, how can you nail your one shot at making a good first impression?

In an article published by Forbes, there are 5 ways to make a killer first impression:

1. Set An Intention
2. Think About Your Ornaments (what we’ll be focusing on in this post)
3. Be Conscious Of Your Body Language
4. Avoid Bad Days
5. Be Interested And Interesting

Clothes, make-up, jewellery, watches and shoes are all types of ornamentation and people definitely take these into account when making initial judgments. For many men, they do not realise that their watch can say a lot about them. For women, purses and large earrings or jewellery can also indicate a lot to a new person they are meeting. Make sure that what you are wearing and how you do your hair or make-up says what you want it to say to the people you are meeting for the first time.

Going a step further in helping men look their best; ColorWash and The General Company teamed up for a joint workshop to share tips and tricks on leather usage and care to get the most mileage out of ones’ belongings.

More often than not, shoes are the first thing anyone notices about you, be it during a job interview or if you’re getting out there on the dating scene. Selecting the perfect pair of shoes is a step in the right direction, but maintenance is everything. Clean and well-maintained footwear not only looks better, it will also help them go the distance with you.

While cleaning and polishing shoes are part of the basics to shoecare, do also remember to invest in a pair of unfinished shoetrees. Not only are they very adept at sponging up moisture and disagreeable odors, they also allow recently worn leather shoes to contract and dry-out to their ideal shape.

In the event you get caught in a downpour, stuff your leather shoes with crumpled newspaper and dry them gently with a hair dryer. A point to note though, high heat at a close distance can cause severe damage to leather. Before they are completely dry, insert shoetrees to make sure they dry-out evenly and maintain their shape. Shoes of other materials can be stuffed with newspaper as it is great at absorbing moisture.

When you stuff your belongings with newspaper, do wrap the newspaper with clean tracing paper to prevent ink stains. The same procedure goes for your briefcases and folios, but stuff them with butter paper or tracing paper (not shoetrees). If you accidentally swipe your folio with a pen or gotten food stains on it, wipe them down with ColorWash’s Soft Cleaner Wipes for a quick and efficient clean. They are available at ColorWash outlets for SGD$4.90!

Don’t neglect your belts and watchstraps too! Treat them right with leather conditioner to extend their life expectancy as it can help deter moisture and filth. If that belt you are wearing has been with you for a while now, you should all the more be kinder to it. Lightly scrub the belt on both sides with a banister brush (covered with soap), dab it clean, and dry it with a hair-dryer that is held at least 15cm away from the belt.

Lastly, first impressions stick so stack all the odds in your favour and try to make as good a showing as possible.

If maintaining and keeping your personal accessories in a pristine condition is too much work for you; head down to the nearest ColorWash Singapore outlets.

They have a team of experienced specialists who are trained in the most effective and current methods of protection, cleaning and colouring. The experts individually assess the items that are sent in. If required, ColorWash also offers the High Density Transparent Coating, which acts as an overcoat for bags and shoes.

Time flies and guess what; Jacqueline and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary!
To celebrate this special occasion, I intended to get something really special for Jacqueline and to my delight, I was able to find the perfect gift when I was browsing through Soo Kee Jewellery’s online retail store.

Why shop online and not offline in a brick and mortar store?

Well, for one, I like the fact that I don’t have to go all the way down to the store to make a purchase and since all purchases done online usually comes with free shipping right to the doorstep, it makes things downright convenient and hassle-free! This is why e-store always appeal to me (yes, I’m bias towards e-stores).

Secondly, Soo Kee is Singapore’s leading public listed jeweller and it gives me the added assurance and confidence that my purchase is guaranteed. To top it all off, all local orders are fully insured by Soo Kee.

And last but not the least, I wouldn’t have to face any sort of pressure to make a purchase especially when it can be quite a daunting experience to get an expensive gift at the jewellery store. It certainly doesn’t help when a salesperson tries to force you into buying a jewellery that may not even be the ideal gift.

So what have I got for Jacqueline from Soo Kee?

I got her a pair of Lustria Butterfly Earrings in 18K white gold and rose gold with 4 diamonds that’s approximately 0.07 carat. Since Jacqueline don’t really fancy wearing a necklace or bracelet, a pair of earrings would make the most sense and she really love it when she received the surprise gift from one of Soo Kee’s staff (it even came with a 12-stalk bouquet of champagne roses).

If you are planning a proposal or if you are probably thinking about getting an anniversary gift, you might want to consider checking out Soo Kee online store and see if there’s anything suitable that you can get. After all, there’s not that many reputable online local jewellery shops around where you can honestly shop with confidence.

What I really like about Soo Kee’s e-store is that it has a wide array of certified diamonds and range of gifts. If you are looking for a unique proposal ring, you can even customise and personalise your very own proposal ring (yes, you can choose the size of the diamond, the kind of ring setting, and even get the ring engraved).

So what will you get for an anniversary gift or perhaps even a birthday gift for your loved ones?

For more information about Soo Kee online store, you can visit their website here and also like their Facebook Page!

I am probably ignorant about my surroundings whenever I head down to Orchard because yes, I have heard of the sleazy Orchard Towers, the shabby Far East Shopping Centre, and the big Toys “R” Us outlet at Forum The Shopping Mall; but I have never heard of Palais Renaissance.

If not for a media event that was held last week at Palais Renaissance, I will probably still be a suaku [mountain tortoise] and not know that such a place exists in Singapore. Well, getting to Palais Renaissance is not that difficult but finding the way that leads to the carpark is. With just 32 tenants that caters mainly to an upscale clientele, Palais Renaissance is a small cosy shopping mall that has escalators that are wide enough for only 1 person.

Negative much?

Not really.

In fact, there are a couple of things that we uncovered about Palais Renaissance that truly makes it a well-hidden gem.

First and foremost, Palais Renaissance does not cater only to an affluent clientele. What we found quite affordable at Palais Renaissance are the dining options that are available even for the casual passers-by. Whether it is Jing Hua Xiao Chi, Ishinomaki Grill & Sake Bar, P. Bistro, or PS.Cafe; you will not burn a big hole in your pocket for dining at Palais Renaissance.

When we were there at Palais Renaissance, we had the privilege of dining at Jing Hua Xiao Chi and it was a dining experience that I will never forget because the taste and the flavours of the food evoked so much personal memories of my childhood days.

Founded in 1989, Jing Hua Xiao Chi was started by native Singaporeans, Mr. and Mrs. Han, and was located at the place first known as the “Qun Zhong Eating House”. The family started Jing Hua as a means to make ends meet, and took their recipes from Mr. Han’s mother, who lived in Shanghai, and from Mrs. Han, who made good dumplings at home. That is how it all began, and over the years, the family slowly adapted their recipes to suit Singaporean tastes.

It is interesting to note that Jing Hua’s menu has remained unchanged at Neil Road since its beginning and this is a true testament of how consistent quality can withstand the test of time. Prepared with ingredients sourced from Chinatown’s wet markets, Jing Hua has built a strong reputation for serving up delicious homemade dumplings over the years.

Needless to say, we will definitely be patronising Jing Hua Xiao Chi again and if you are searching high and low for an affordable homely fare that has a traditional taste [古早味] to it, Jing Hua Xiao Chi is the place.

Apart from dining at Jing Hua Xiao Chi at Palais Renaissance, we also visited DeFRED Jewellers and TOUCHE Elite to find out more about the products and services they have to offer.

DeFRED Jewellers was established since 1984 and it is a brand name that is synonymous with precious pieces of fine jewellery. They are a specialised quality jewellery boutique so prices for their intricate jewellery are expectedly exorbitant. If splurging is your cup of tea, get SGD$200 off when you “like” DeFRED’s Facebook Page, follow them on Instagram, and quote DeFRED’s slogan, “Ultimate Gift of Love by DeFRED”.

As for TOUCHE Elite, they offer aesthetic treatments that are mainly for the ladies and they recently launched a new and advanced C Plus Anti-aging Treatment with RF Tech; a remarkable advanced scientific breakthrough medical-aesthetic technologies that defy skin’s aging and helps combat pigmentation.

Well, we haven’t had any treatments done at TOUCHE Elite and so we can’t really share much but if you would like to find out more about the aesthetic treatments that are available, you can visit their website at http://www.cls-touche.com/.

Having been to Palais Renaissance, we must say that the experience has been overall a pleasant one. If we ever visit again, it would most probably be to dine at the rest of the other food and beverage restaurants or to probably get an exclusive gift that can’t be found elsewhere.

So… have you been to Palais Renaissance? Yes, you have just been there after reading this blog post!

The new home to 300 top beauty, body and baby brands such as SKII, L’Oréal and Johnson & Johnson; Beautiful.me aims to disrupt Asia’s health and beauty market with its really unique and intriguing e-commerce model.

As a frequent shopper myself, I am very excited about the coming official launch of Beautiful.me and while I am not sure if they will offer products for men; I decided to sign up for it so that I could get health and beauty products for my wife.

Just so you know, the members-only online shopping destination will offer an extensive range of over 5,000 beauty, body and baby products from 300 top global brands at special members’ prices that start lower.

What this also means is that there will be no more waiting for the next big sale and no more carrying around heavy shopping bags filled with beauty and personal care essentials as orders are delivered right to the doorstep the following day.

If you are new to the whole idea of shopping clubs, shopping clubs like Costco and Walmart’s Sam’s Club in the U.S. have been around for years and they remain popular with consumers because they offer the best value for the money.

Taking inspiration from this retail model of shopping clubs like in the U.S., the team at Beautiful.me tweaked it a bit, made it more exclusive, and brought it online.

Beautiful.me adopts a “profit-less” pricing model and only applies a small markup to the products they sell. By working to cut out retail inefficiencies like costly rental expenses, the company is able to pass these savings on to members in the form of price discounts, rewards and rebates.

To cover basic business expenses, Beautiful.me charges an annual membership fee of SGD$49 [waived off for new members who sign up before August 26th, 2015] which is backed by a 200% Satisfaction Guarantee. What this means is that if you don’t save more than double what you paid for the membership, Beautiful.me will refund you the difference at the end of the year.

From now until August 26th, 2015, you can sign up as an Angel member at www.beautiful.me to enjoy six months of free membership and if you refer 5 friends, you’ll receive one full year of free membership!

What’s more, if you refer 10 friends, you’ll be rewarded with a share of up to SGD$800,000 in cash rebates [yes…Cash and not points!] or 5% of what your referrals purchase in the next 12 months. That’s extra pocket money you can earn without ever breaking a sweat.

For more information, do check out Beautiful.me and like Beautiful.me Official Facebook Page!

Everyone will know that I’m pretty obsessed with losing weight and so far, what really helped me a lot in my weight loss journey is doing Pilates and going on a detox programme. Apart from that, a strong self-discipline to control my eating habits and to exercise regularly has also helped me to maintain my current weight of 71KG [that’s 9KG off from my original 80KG].
Recently, my mum shared with me how traditional Chinese medicine [TCM] has helped her to shed some kilos and I went on the Internet to search for more information. Coincidentally, a fellow Blogger friend of mine also shared with me about a Weight Management Programme by Eu Yan Sang and I was very intrigued to find out more.

Personally, I have tried acupuncture and that is because I used to have a pretty bad backache and a colleague of mine recommended me to give it a try. To be honest, I was very afraid of the needle-pricking pain and watching Final Destination 5 did not help to allay my fears at all. Alas, having went through the whole process, I am pretty convinced that acupuncture is painless because all I felt during every acupuncture session is a very sour numbing and achy sensation.

Well, I have never thought that acupuncture, coupled with prescribed herbal medication, cupping, and ear acupressure can help people to lose weight but what I feel is really important is that any Weight Management Programme should and must promote safe and healthy weight loss that does not see the person having a weight rebound thereafter.

I often hear people say this, “the faster you lose weight, the faster you also gain back weight” and this is really true because I have experienced the effects of weight rebound myself. If TCM can really help to promote healthy weight loss without any weight rebound, I will definitely give it a thought and this is why I am pretty keen to share about Eu Yan Sang’s proprietary Weight Management Programme and try it for myself. Above all, Eu Yan Sang is a very established brand and is very well-known.

Just so you know, if you are interested to find out more about Eu Yan Sang’s TCM Weight Management Program, you can sign up for a free workshop that will be taking place on 05 May 2015 by filing up a form.

Dinner and refreshments will also be provided during the workshop and there will be a token of appreciation that will be given to all successful attendees.

So what are you waiting for? Hurry and sign up now!

Our genetics and societal norms may dictate the path our lives take. These “little dictators”; from our height to societal conventions, may tell us the things we can or cannot achieve. This is especially true in Singapore where much emphasis is placed on the paper chase in order to get a good job that pays well.

As SK-II unveils the first chapter of #ChangeDestiny, its biggest empowerment campaign to date, I was reminded of how I overcame the “little dictators” in my teenage years.

As an individual, I am extremely introverted and ultra-conservative. Occasionally, I find it hard to interact with people and I tend to keep to myself most of the time. I would prefer to communicate via letters and emails rather than face-to-face and given my stern physical look, nobody would dare to approach me. In fact, nobody would ever believe that I can lead an organisation; let alone a group of people. Public-speaking wasn’t my cup of tea and I often have butterflies in my stomach whenever I was asked to give a presentation. Believe it or not, I don’t even know how to do a proper smile.

It was during a leadership training camp that I had some sort of awakening within me and I decided that I had to #ChangeDestiny. I wasn’t going to let my own “little dictators” determine the kind of life that I will have and so, I literally stepped out of my comfort zone and tried to socialise with others. It was kind of awkward at first and people were quite wary of me but eventually over time, I gained the trust of the people around me and forged strong meaningful friendships.

The baby steps that I took to interact with people have not only helped me to build strong and meaningful friendships but it has also landed me with a career in the hospitality industry where I gained a great wealth of experience working in an environment that predominantly requires a great deal of social interaction skills.

Today, apart from running my own personal concierge business where I manage my clients’ requests to do anything and everything that is legal, I also conduct leadership talks and workshops for the youth community; all of which would not have been possible if I have not decided to #ChangeDestiny.

This year, SK-II aims to empower people to go beyond their limitations and #ChangeDestiny. Starring acclaimed Ballet Dancer Misa Kuranaga, the global launch film features her inspiring life story on overcoming the little “dictators” in her life to achieve professional success. Just so you know, Ballet Dancer Misa Kuranaga holds the honour of being the first Asian to become Boston Ballet’s Principle Dancer.

Are you ready to #ChangeDestiny?

The Super Bowl is an annual championship game of the National Football League [NFL], the highest level of professional football in the United States, culminating a season that begins in the late summer of the previous calendar year.

Although many people tend to think that American Football and Rugby are both the same, they are really different from one another.

In case you are wondering what the difference between American Football and Rugby is, the American football is a game played between two teams and consists of 11 players in each of the two teams, with unlimited substitutions. It is a game of intense physical play with complex strategy to score points by advancing the ball to the opponent team’s end-zone.

As for Rugby, it is best described as a blend of the contact of American football, the running of soccer, and the transition of basketball. It is a game played between two teams with 15 players in each, played on a rectangular field, with the objective being to run with an oval ball across the opponent’s goal line or kick it through the upper portion of the goal posts.

Personally, my favourite NFL Team is the New England Patriots and if I were to wear their team jersey, here’s what I will wear to their match!

It is a simple no-frills sporty outfit that is suitable for many occasions.

Well, what about you?

How would you dress yourself up to watch your favourite sports team live in action?

If you are looking for officially licensed sports merchandise, you might want to check out Fanatics because they have the largest variety of sportswear and accessories. Furthermore, they do ship to Singapore too!

However, having said that, you might want to consider getting 65daigou to ship your purchase from United States as it might be more cost-savvy to do so.

Are you ready to dress up for your favourite sports games?

There are many facial/skincare products that are available in the market and many of them can be easily bought off-the-shelf. I have personally tried a range of skincare products from reputable brands such as L’Oreal, Lab Series, Benta Berry, Pond’s, Laneige, and The Body Shop but none of them could compare to Herbalife SKIN in terms of value and quality.

I know many people may be sceptical about products from multi-level marketing companies but before coming out with this review, I have personally used Herbalife SKIN products for 7 months to ensure that the products we recommend on our blog is comparable or even better than what is available on the market.

Herbalife SKIN is a solution-based skincare nutrition that balances ingredients, botanicals, and extracts with proven science for a healthier-looking skin every day. I was first introduced to Herbalife SKIN during a media launch event and what really enticed me was that its products are paraben-free, sulfate-free, and dermatologist tested. Furthermore, the packaging of Herbalife SKIN is compact and easy to bring around when travelling.

Herbalife SKIN products are divided into 5 main categories, namely, Cleansers, Toner & Serum, Eye Gel & Eye Cream, Scrub & Mask, and Moisturisers & Creams.

For Cleansers, Herbalife SKIN offers two kind; the Soothing Aloe Cleanser and the Polishing Citrus Cleanser. I have personally tried both cleansers and if you have oily skin like me, I would definitely recommend the Polishing Citrus Cleanser over the Soothing Aloe Cleanser.

Polishing Citrus Cleanser, Retail Price: SGD$40.82

The Polishing Citrus Cleanser is exclusively formulated with Vitamin B3, antioxidants Vitamins C and E and Aloe Vera, Orange oil/Citrus oils, Grapefruit oil/Citrus oils, Apple-derived cleansing ingredients, Jojoba Esters, and it is vibrantly-scented with hints of juicy orange and grapefruit. Containing deep cleansing microbeads, it refreshes the skin for a healthy glow and is perfect for normal to oily skin. The Polishing Citrus Cleanser has also been clinically tested to show a reduction in the skin’s sebum after just one use.

If you are absolutely new to skincare and you are unsure about how to get started, my recommendation is to first get a cleanser, a toner, and a moisturiser. This would definitely help kick-start your daily facial regime.

Herbalife SKIN line of products are also numerically numbered so that you know which one to use in a sequential order from 1 to 5.

For Toners, Herbalife SKIN only offers one kind, the Energising Herbal Toner.

Energising Herbal Toner, Retail Price: SGD$30.98

The Energising Herbal Toner is an aloe vera-infused, alcohol-free, facial toner with Mandarin citrus scent that provides hydration to the skin and refreshes tired-looking skin. It is to be used in the morning and at night as it helps prepare the skin to better receive the serum and moisturisers for maximum results. The Energising Herbal Toner is exclusively formulated with Vitamins B3, antioxidants Vitamins C and E and Aloe Vera, and Potassium alum.

What I personally like about the Energising Herbal Toner is that it comes packaged in a spray bottle. Hence, to apply the toner, all I have to do is just spray it all over my face and pat dry.

For Moisturisers, there’s the Herbalife SKIN Daily Glow Moisturiser.

Daily Glow Moisturiser, Retail Price: SGD$69.18

The Daily Glow Moisturiser is an all-purpose hydrating lotion with illuminating properties to give the face a healthy glow. It has been clinically tested to show that the skin looks more glowing and feels softer and smoother in just seven days. This product is ideal for any occasion where you want your skin to look fresh and silky soft or when you just want some light-weight moisture. It is perfect for men and women and suitable for all skin types. The Daily Glow Moisturiser is exclusively formulated with Vitamin B3, antioxidants Vitamins C and E and Aloe Vera, Sunflower seed oil, Spilanthes Acmella Flower Extract, Macadamia nut oil, Olive oil, and Sesame seed oil.

However, if you really want to fight the signs of aging, it is good to get started on a good daily skin care regimen that cleanses, treats, targets and protects your skin. Hence, I would recommend you to also get the Line Minimising Serum and the Firming Eye Gel.

Should you like to pamper your skin a little more, you can get the Instant Reveal Berry Scrub or the Purifying Mint Clay Mask to exfoliate and absorb excess oil respectively.

Herbalife SKIN line of products are suitable for both men and women and though the products are priced on the higher side, the Herbalife SKIN Basic Package which consist of 1 Soothing Aloe Cleanser, 1 Polishing Citrus Cleanser, 1 Energising Herbal Toner, 1 Daily Glow Moisturiser, and 1 Replenishing Night Cream cost only SGD$250.98. This is definitely way affordable than other skincare brands such as SK-II and the likes.

As for me, I will usually just get the Polishing Citrus Cleanser, Energising Herbal Toner, Line Minimising Serum, Firming Eye Gel, Daily Glow Moisturiser, and Replenishing Night Cream since I use them on a daily basis. I do have the Instant Reveal Berry Scrub and Purifying Mint Clay Mask but because I only use them only once or twice a week, I only purchase them on an adhoc basis.

Having used a number of skincare products from so many other brands that are available, I personally still prefer Herbalife SKIN. The quality is definitely top-notch and the natural scent of the product is very refreshing. I would definitely recommend this product if you have skin conditions as the results are pretty visible by the second week.

If you are interested to know more about Herbalife SKIN line of products, you can check out Herbalife SKIN Official Website and if you would like to get any of the skincare products, do feel free to drop by our e-retail store.

We had a pampering and rejuvenating body relaxation massage at The SPA-Lon [Tiong Bahru Plaza] last week and it really helped to calm our nerves and unwind after a hectic day at work.
Since 1990, The SPA-Lon has established itself as one of the leading pioneers in the field of beauty and skincare, and its devotion to building a streamlined operational infrastructure has seen The SPA-Lon expand from a humble outlet to five outlets islandwide.

When we were at The SPA-Lon, we had the body relaxation massage that lasted for an hour and it cost SGD$99. One of the oldest forms of physical therapy, a body massage does provide numerous health benefits like stress relief, increased blood circulation, improved posture, improved breathing, relief from tension headaches, and strengthened immune system. If you frequently have body massages but you don’t experience any of the health benefits as listed above, it is probably high time that you consider switching venues.

Many people tend to have the misconception and the belief that no pain is equal to no gain but we would like to clarify that in the case of a body massage; if your massage is a painful experience, it isn’t a massage at all! A proper massage is one where you are entirely relaxed and all the worries and burdens seem to have been lifted off from you.

The masseur whom was performing the body relaxation massage for us was extremely skilful and she really knows where to focus the kneading and rolling. The amount of pressure that the masseur applied was also just right and it was such an enjoyable and relaxing session that we fell asleep during the massage.

Apart from the body relaxation massage, The SPA-Lon also offers a variety of beauty and skincare products and services for both ladies and men. Whether it is for your face, eyes, hands, or even your feet, you will definitely be in for a real treat.

A fellow Blogger, Joey, visited The SPA-Lon to get her face treated and the results were astounding. If you don’t believe, you can check out the pictures on The SPA-Lon Facebook Page.

Truly, The SPA-Lon has stood firm in the market by putting in place a solid business model that is governed by honesty and integrity. This has proved to be a winning formula as they have successfully raised the level of confidence among their customers.

Based on the belief that one could lose all their material possessions but never their self-confidence, The SPA-lon aims to build confidence in their customers to flaunt their new-found beauty.

Are you ready for a beauty makeover or a pampering body massage with The SPA-Lon?

Bring out a confident and beautiful you by booking an appointment with The SPA-Lon outlet nearest to you!

Last Sunday, we were at the Digital Fashion Week at the National Design Centre to catch the runway showcase of L’ILE AUX ASHBY by Rayson Tan and we got a glimpse of the stunning Spring/Summer 2014 Women’s Wear and Men’s Wear Collection that are now available at ASOS Marketplace.

The Door Gifts [Instant Photo Prints] at the Digital Fashion Week is a pretty interesting affair!

What’s L’ILE AUX ASHBY [pronounced as “L” “OR” “ASH” “B”]?

L’ILE AUX ASHBY is a fashion label by Rayson Tan for the discerning urbanite. With designs that encompass three distinctive attributes; quality, detail and exclusivity, it is no surprise that the masterpieces of L’ILE AUX ASHBY by Rayson Tan have been featured in the local and international media including VOGUE, VOGUE Italia, Glamour UK, Surface Asia, W Korea, Highsnobette.com, CNNGo, and Refinery29.com.

Rayson Tan [far right] with Elim Chew [in the middle], founder of 77th Street.

Entitled “Till Genesis Comes”, the Spring/Summer 2014 Women’s Wear and Men’s Wear Collection from L’ILE AUX ASHBY by Rayson Tan celebrates the idea of vitality in life and the tangible strings of existence in nature.

Its immerse focus on digital prints are engineered to tell the story of rebirth and creationism, from morning to noon, and thereafter to night, and how the cycles of day and the notion of time ignites the hope of new beginnings.

Taking a minimalist approach amidst the illustrative printed fabrics, the colours for the collection range from the brighter scale of bold fuchsias, orange, and sun yellows to showcase daytime. They are juxtaposed by contrasting darker shades of Persian blues and quintessential black in solid forms to signify the closure of day.

Made with a diverse mix of comfortable yet luxurious materials, the collection is in essence, an exploratory realm that is constructed for the sunny days ahead, with new beginnings, processes, and hints of rejuvenation instilled in all stylistic aspects.

This has got to be my personal favourite for the Spring/Summer 2014 Men’s Wear Collection and I am really hoping to buy it from the ASOS Marketplace soon!

Truly, the products of L’ILE AUX ASHBY are delicately made with full emphasis details of a work and because all these designs are limited in pieces, it gives access to a privileged minority. This allures the exclusivity of L’ILE AUX ASHBY.

What goes on behind-the-scenes in order to make L’ILE AUX ASHBY’s runway showcase at the Digital Fashion Week a success.

Rayson Tan, founder of L’ILE AUX ASHBY, believes that design is the welcome mist of air in our environment. Quoting him, “Design envelopes us, creating an impact in our daily routine. I have a strong desire to create the best designs that will hopefully revolutionize the way people perceive their surroundings; my intentions are to unlock the eyes and provoke thoughts. I am often spellbound with the world around me and that is where I find my inspiration.”

A closing photo with our dear friend whom was involved in helping to coordinate the runway showcase for L’ILE AUX ASHBY. 🙂
