Our Story

A Winsome Life is an independent Singapore lifestyle publication founded in 2011 by Melvin Lee and Jacqueline Teo. What began as a place to document everyday experiences has grown into a platform for stories about food, travel, family, lifestyle, technology, spirituality and the things that make life interesting.

Through the years, we have worked with established brands, hotels, restaurants, tourism partners and lifestyle businesses while keeping the personal perspective that shaped A Winsome Life from the beginning.

2011 — A Winsome Life was founded as a Singapore lifestyle and entertainment blog.

2012 — Welcomed our 100,000th visitor.

2013 — Top 10 finalist for Best Lifestyle Blog at the Singapore Blog Awards.

2015 — Registered as a sole proprietorship; our personal concierge business was featured in The Straits Times.

2016 — Welcomed our 1,000,000th visitor.

2017 — Our concierge business was again featured in The Straits Times.

2019 — Singapore Website Awards Site of the Month.

2020–2026 — Expanded our editorial mix and marked 15 years of A Winsome Life in 2026.

Melvin Lee

Melvin co-founded A Winsome Life in 2011 and remains closely involved in its editorial direction. His interest in writing online began with a personal blog in 2004 and developed into a long-running passion for storytelling, reviews and sharing useful experiences.

Outside of writing, he enjoys family time, travelling, boating, reading and good food. He also plays the guitar and drums and has appeared on KidsCentral, Channel 5 and in Ah Boys to Men.

Jacqueline Teo

Jacqueline is the Co-Founder and visual storyteller behind A Winsome Life. Her eye for photography has helped shape the way the site documents dining experiences, travels, family moments and the places and people featured over the years.

Together with Melvin, she has been part of the journey from a personal blog into the lifestyle publication A Winsome Life is today.
