Hello Everyone,
this is one long overdue post but nonetheless, we shall just put it up as it is something that we felt worth mentioning.

The Mosaic Music Festival Singapore 2012 was held from 9th to 18th March 2012 and it was organised by the Esplanade. So without any need for explanation, I am very sure that you would know that a music festival is basically all about music.

From Mosaic Music Festival 2012

Well, Baby and I were there two weeks ago on a Saturday evening and we were very much just strolling around to see what they have in stored for us. So while strolling, we actually chanced upon these lightings which we found really cool.

And besides admiring all the beautiful lightings, we took a walk inside and found many paper cranes that were on display!

Yes, the big paper crane that you see in the above picture is made up of these individual small paper cranes!

And since it was a Music Festival and not some Lighting Festival, we went to the Mosaic Music Station a.k.a Outdoor Theatre to soak in the atmosphere and listen to the music/band performance that was taking place. When we were there, the Murder Mouse Blues Band from Australia co-performed with some local musicians and we were just blown away by the groovy jazz and blues music!

After enjoying the music, we headed to the HTC Living Room a.k.a Concourse and we were greeted with so many bean bags that Baby just had to lie on one to take a rest. Sadly, we missed the opportunity to catch the music/band performance here, else it would have been a really relaxing time for us to just listen to the music and lie on the bean bag.

Finally, we wrapped up the day and were on our way to the train station where we saw this picture which was quite interesting.

This is the caption of the picture which I felt pretty touching.

To me, the picture tells us to really appreciate our loved ones and to honour them because one day, they might just not be around anymore. So, do cherish and appreciate your loved ones while you still can! Well, that’s all for the Mosaic Music Festival Singapore 2012!

Stay tuned for more updates from us!

Hello Everyone,
thanks to the folks from Sony Pictures Singapore, Baby and I got the opportunity to catch the 21 Jump Street movie preview yesterday! Just like the many other movie previews that we attended, this one was held at The Grand Cathay and we had to deposit our mobile phones for security purposes as usual. By the way, 21 Jump Street is set to be released in Singapore on the 10th of May 2012.

Movie Plot:

In the action-comedy 21 Jump Street, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are more than ready to leave their adolescent problems behind. Joining the police force and the secret Jump Street unit, they use their youthful appearances to go undercover in a local high school.

As they trade in their guns and badges for backpacks, Schmidt and Jenko risk their lives to investigate a violent and dangerous drug ring. But they find that high school is nothing like they left it just a few years earlier – and neither expects that they will have to confront the terror and anxiety of being a teenager again and all the issues they thought they had left behind.

Our Review of the Movie:

Seriously, this movie is really worth catching because it is extremely hilarious. However, this film would definitely not be suitable for teenagers below 18 as its themes are centred on sex, drugs, and vulgar language. Hence, it is not really a movie for family get-together but more for a group of friends. I believe that the movie might be rated at least NC-16/M-18 when it is release in Singapore.

Well, other than that, we love the movie because the main actors, Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, were really in sync with one another and they acted their parts really well. Not only that, the storyline was fantastic and the jokes were just really funny. So, we really do recommend you to watch this movie once it is release in Singapore on the 10th of May.

Hello Everyone,
in today’s entry, I am going to share with you the wonderful memories and the exciting experience that I have had with the National Cadet Corps [NCC] since 2001.

Well, it all began when I was just a Secondary 1 Student at Bartley. As we all had to choose a Co-Curricular Activity [CCA] to participate in, I naturally wanted to join the Uniformed Groups [UG] as I was very interested in outdoor adventuring. The only UGs available back then were NCC Land, NCC Air, NPCC, Red Cross, and the Military Band. Having gone for the CCA Openhouse, I decided and made a choice to join the NCC Land Family. The one and only reason why I joined the NCC back then was that I could wear the uniform home, unlike the NPCC. Since then, I have never regretted joining the NCC and I was really glad that I made the right decision as the person I am today is largely due to the leadership and lifeskills that I picked up over the years in the NCC.

The first two years in NCC back then were pretty challenging and tough. Trainings were conducted on Saturday mornings and most of the time, we either had footdrills lesson or physical training. There wasn’t much activities to engage us and training was extremely routine. Most of the time, we had to carry out instructions given by our seniors whom we sometimes find unreasonable. Our seniors back then were arrogant and boastful, and they used punishment as a way to entertain themselves. Worst still, they were a bad influence on us. While there were seniors whom were extremely bad, we also had seniors whom were extremely good, understanding, and patient. Those whom I really respect and modelled after are Teck Kwee, Din, and Victor.

To be honest, I wanted to quit the NCC when I was in Secondary 1 due to the unreasonably tough trainings and the negative peer influence. However, thanks to a friend of mine, Xin Ying [previously from NCC Air] whom encouraged me through a really long phone call which I still remember till this day, I persevered for 2 years and the tide changed for me when I was in Secondary 3. After my Specialists’ Course in 2003, I was promoted to a 2nd Sergeant and was internally promoted to a 1st Sergeant, and thereafter, promoted to a Staff Sergeant after attending the Senior Specialists’ Course. That same year, I embarked on a Mount Ophir Expedition Trip with the NCC and till this day, I remembered the tough journey that we have had as my batch of Cadets reached the summit late and as a result, we returned to Camp Base only at 3am in the morning!

Well, the times that I spent as a Cadet were really fruitful and I really enjoyed every single moment of it, especially with the friends that I’ve made over the years.

In 2004, I was appointed to be the Assistant Sergeant Major of the unit and was promoted to Master Sergeant. In addition, I was awarded the Outstanding Cadet Award. Being inspired to serve and contribute more to the NCC, I went for the 48th Cadet Lieutenants’ Course [CLT] after my GCE ‘O’ Levels and was awarded the Best in Leadership Award. Thereafter, I served actively in HQ NCC and was involved in the organisation and execution of courses, parades, ceremonies, ranges, and camps. During the years that I served HQ NCC as a Cadet Officer, I was appointed the East District OIC and was privileged and honoured to be sent to Rockhampton, Australia for the International Cadet Exchange Programme and Exercise Wallaby. For my contributions to the NCC, I was awarded the Outstanding CLT Award and was eventually promoted to the rank of Cadet Captain.

And as I have mentioned before, the friends that I have made in NCC are really true friends indeed. We cry together, laugh together, and work together as one united team! Hence, there is a reason why even till today, the NCC East District is also still known as the home of the Champions!

Such was this unity that we had that I truly felt blessed to be in such a great company of people whom I can truly call friends!

Although many people felt that I was an over-achiever, the fact is, I don’t really derive satisfaction from the awards and achievements that I have gotten. What really motivated me was that I wanted to do more for the youth community; to inspire the young ones and to impart to the juniors. I too also enjoyed the company of friends that I have made over the years in NCC and these bonds that we shared do have a special place in our hearts.

Now, it’s more than 11 years since I have joined the NCC and I am still very much involved one way or another as an Associate Member. In fact, just last Friday, I was really privileged and honoured to have been invited to give a motivational talk to the Cadets during the Annual NCC Camp.

Hello Everyone,
pardon us for not blogging much this whole entire week as we have been really busy with speaking engagements, events happening around our sunny island of Singapore, and eating at the many local restaurants. For this particular entry, we would be blogging about our experience at the i Light Marina Bay 2012.

We parked our car at Plaza Singapura and took a train from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station and alighted at Esplanade MRT Station. Parking our car at Plaza Singapura cost us only $2.14 per entry so we felt that it was better to park there than to park elsewhere.

Long time never take the train already… so we were really bored indeed…

Hence, if you want to know more, you could either visit their official website at http://www.ilightmarinabay.sg/home.html or visit their Facebook Page.

Well, that’s all for now and do stay tuned for further updates as we have many upcoming exciting blog entries! We hope that you have been inspired by this entry on i Light Marina Bay 2012 and do visit the Marina Bay to see for yourselves what this event could offer you and your family. Don’t forget to bring along  a bottle of water with you as it will not be a normal 3.5km walk along the streets!

God bless!

About the Event
i Light Marina Bay, Asia’s first and only sustainable light art festival, was first held from 15 October to 7 November in 2010. Presented by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and organised by Smart Light Singapore (SLS), the event celebrated Marina Bay’s nightscape through the showcase of 25 dynamic and innovative light art installations along the 3.5km waterfront promenade.

The installations made use of energy-efficient lighting and created awareness for energy-saving lighting technology for the urban environment. The “Switch Off, Turn Up” campaign kicked off a programme supported by Marina Bay stakeholders to Switch Off non essential lighting and Turn Up air-conditioning temperatures for the festival period. This initiative has come about to offset energy usage and promote energy savings from lighting. Programmes and fringe activities targeting families, students, industry professionals and the general public were also planned as part of the Festival.

The inaugural festival was a substantial success and was attended by more than 433,000 visitors over a three-week duration, of which approximately 71,031 were international visitors. This is the second edition of i Light Marina Bay, and will be held from 9 March to 1 April 2012. Themed “Light Meets Asia”, the sophomore will feature more than 30 innovative and environmentally sustainable light art installations, with a strong focus on works from Asia.

The Festival’s curatorial team is helmed by Festival Director Mary-Anne Kyriakou, and includes two co-curators: Charmaine Toh, a Singapore visual arts curator; and the team from Singapore award-winning design studio FARM. In line with the theme “Light Meets Asia”, the curatorial team has selected the sustainable light art installations from over one hundred submissions. The final selection of installations features a strong representation from new, emerging, and well-known artists from countries across Asia, including Singapore.

Apart from the visually arresting and interactive sustainable light art installations, visitors to i Light Marina Bay 2012 can look forward to a full array of complementary programmes and activities – including night carnivals, outdoor performances, guided tours, educational talks and workshops – all to ensure that there is something for everyone.

Hello Everyone,
thanks to the folks from OMY.SG and United International Pictures [UIP], Baby and I were invited to the preview of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax at the Shaw Lido Cinema and we were really privileged to have caught the movie because it was worth catching.

Some Background Information

The man behind the Lorax is Dr. Seuss or otherwise also known as Theodor Seuss Geisel and he was an American writer, poet, and cartoonist most widely known for his children’s books. He published 46 children’s books, which were often characterized by imaginative characters, rhyme, and frequent use of trisyllabic meter. His most celebrated books are The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hatches the Egg, Horton Hears a Who!, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas!.

How The Lorax File Came About

The Lorax is a children’s book written by Dr. Seuss and it was first published in 1971. It chronicles the plight of the environment and the Lorax, who speaks for the trees against the greedy Once-ler. As in most of Dr. Seuss works, most of the creatures mentioned are original to the book. The book is commonly recognized as a fable concerning industrialised society and the danger it poses to nature, using the literary element of personification to give life to industry as the Once-ler (whose face is never shown in any of the story’s illustrations or in the television special) and the environment as The Lorax.

On March 2, 2012, Universal Studios and Illumination Entertainment released a 3-D CGI film loosely based upon the book. The release coincided with the 108th birthday of Seuss, who died at 87 in 1991. The cast includes Danny DeVito as the Lorax, Zac Efron as Ted, Ed Helms as the Once-ler, Rob Riggle as new villain O’Hare, and Betty White as Grammy Norma, Ted’s grandmother. Taylor Swift has also been cast as Audrey, Ted’s romantic interest.

Movie Plot

From the creators of Despicable Me and the imagination of Dr. Seuss comes the 3D-CG feature of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, an adaptation of the classic tale of a forest creature who shares the enduring power of hope. The animated adventure follows the journey of a 12-year-old boy as he searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.

How We Felt About the Movie and What We Liked About It

Although The Lorax is targeted at young children aged [probably] from 4-14 years old, we personally could identify with the movie because the story is kinda real, especially when we hear from the daily news report about how Mother Earth has been greatly affected by global warming and man-made pollutions. In fact, somehow after watching the movie, it made me more aware of the need for everyone of us to play our part in protecting our environment and I will personally see to it that I use environmental-friendly products from now on [seriously].  While this movie may not appeal to adults, I felt that it would be an excellent movie for some family bonding [especially for parents with young children or even for parents whom want to teach their children a thing or two about being environmentally-friendly] in a fun way. In addition, we really love the cute characters [especially the Lorax and the animals] and the various rhyming musical songs that’s still ringing in our heads. Well, if you’re looking for some light-hearted musical comedy-drama animated film, you might just want to check out The Lorax! Oh, and we caught the 3D version and we felt that the effects were just superb!

Hello Everyone,
Baby and I were at the Career Fair @ Suntec City Convention Centre today and we basically registered ourselves as walk-in visitors so as to take a stroll around and see what were the career and educational opportunities available nowadays. Just a heads-up for those of you whom are actually seeking for a job or a career change, there are a few upcoming jobs/career fairs that will be taking place this year, so, don’t fret if you miss this one.

1). Career Expo 2012 from 23-25 March 2012 [organised by JobsDB.com]
2). Jobscentral Career and Learning Fair 2012, date not yet confirmed [organised by Jobscentral.com]

So anyway, Baby and I took a look at some of the exhibitions by the various exhibitors and I could see that the event was very well-organised and managed as the education booths and careers booths were demarcated properly. To begin this entry proper, let me first talk about the education booths at the career fair.

.

One important point that we noted at the career fair was that there were more education booths than careers booths. In fact, most of the educations booths were set-up by private education providers and some of which are clearly unheard of. Being the curious me, I decided to stop around some of the education booths and ask questions about their programmes; and as anyone could guess, the staffs whom attended to us were like sharing how good their programmes are and how recognised their school is and etc. There were even schools that gave away freebies and incentives such as a free tablet and a holiday trip to Phuket just for signing up for their programmes. While I do understand the tough competition in the private education industry, I do wonder, is there a need for such aggressive marketing tactics? In fact, I am not surprised that Kaplan, MDIS, and MIS did not participate in this career fair and I am glad they did not participate in this career fair because it would have been a waste of financial and logistical resources.

Now, for the career booths at the career fair. The key point that we noted here was that insurance companies such as AIA, Prudential, HSBC Insurance, and NTUC Income dominated and occupied large amounts of space at the career fair. This seemingly implied that they were aggressively recruiting individuals whom are interested in a career in the financial services industry. Well, don’t be fooled here. A financial planner or a financial consultant is also otherwise known as an insurance agent [different words/titles but same job scope] and  the job entails selling insurances, savings programmes, and investment-linked policies. Please don’t get me wrong. I am not against insurance policies or insurance agents or “financial planners/consultants”. In fact, while I do encourage you readers to purchase insurance, please also be wise to know how much insurance you really need and where to park your money. If you have any questions with regards to investments and savings, and you are unsure of certain financial terms, please feel free to drop me an email at admin@awinsomelife.org and I will share with you more. In fact, in time to come, I would be blogging about how individuals should approach investments and financial planning.

Ok, I’m getting out of context here so back to the topic, the career booths are mainly made up of the 4 big insurance companies in Singapore and the rest of the career booths are made up of other companies like Marriott Hotel Singapore, PICO, Burger King, Wildlife Reserves Singapore and etc. While I shan’t comment on the positions that are available, I would have to say that the choices available are quite limited. So, I personally felt that this career fair didn’t have much to offer and wasn’t really that interesting. In fact, as education booths seem to overpower the career booths, it kinda imply that companies are cutting back on hiring and people ought to go get themselves educated and trained to further their career opportunities.

Also do note that when attending a career fair, you are not the only one vying for a particular position. So, just because you deposit your resume and managed to strike a conversation with the recruiters doesn’t guarantee that you will be granted an interview. In fact, when you deposit your resume with potential employers, there are three things that might happen:

1). Your resume fits the criteria and the employer grants you an interview
2). Your resume does not fit the criteria and is discarded/incinerated/shredded
3). Your resume does not fit the criteria but is kept for marketing purposes [meaning to say, your particulars/personal information is given to the companies’ marketing department to market their products to you. This is one thing you must note so don’t be surprised when you start receiving unsolicited phone calls from telemarketers asking you to buy products such as insurance]

Overall, while this particular career fair didn’t appealed to us, I wouldn’t say that this career fair was a complete waste of time as Baby and I were able to takeaway with us two big volumes of The Green Book [similar to the now declining YellowPages] which I believe would be extremely useful for our business. There are two more upcoming career fairs to watch out for and I believe those two should be more substantial as we see an increasing trend in local SMEs and MNCs recruiting  for employees via online job portals.

Stay tuned for more updates from us!

God bless!

Hello Everyone,
at Baby’s recommendation, we caught the movie, “This Means War” last week and I just have this to say, its a movie that is definitely worth catching. If you haven’t caught the movie yet, you should go and catch it while its still showing because I’m very sure you would find yourself laughing away the stress from work. It is also a suitable movie for dating couples and groups of friends.

What We Liked About the Movie:

It’s really hilarious and witty when you see 2 well-trained and skilled CIA operatives whom are best friends falling for the same woman. And well, although slightly exaggerated, they used the State’s resources to spy on one another and uncover more details about the woman just so they can get an edge over each other.

Movie Plot [as extracted from Golden Village]:

The world’s deadliest CIA operatives are inseparable partners and best friends until they fall for the same woman. Having once helped bring down entire enemy nations, they are now employing their incomparable skills and an endless array of high-tech gadgetry against their greatest nemesis ever – each other.

Hello Everyone,
thanks to the folks from Nuffnang, Baby and I had the privilege and honour to catch the Singapore Gala Premiere of John Carter which would be officially released on 9 March 2012! Well, in this entry, I will share with you how I felt about this movie.

To start off, let me just make a mention of how this film came to existence because I felt that it is worth noting the long history involved in the production of this film. John Carter, the movie, is largely based on “A Princess of Mars“, the first novel to feature the hero, John Carter. The story was originally serialised over six monthly installments since February 1912! [yes, that’s a long time] So in 1931, the director of Looney Tunes, Bob Clampett approached Edgar Rice Burroughs with the idea of adapting the novel into a feature-length animated film. However, the test footage received many negative reactions that the series was not given the go ahead. In the late 1950s, Ray Harryhausen expressed interest in filming the novels, but it was not until the 1980s that producers Mario Kassar and Andrew G. Vajna bought the rights for Walt Disney Pictures, with a view to creating a competitor to Star Wars and Conan the Barbarian. However, the project collapsed because McTiernan realized that visual effects were not yet advanced enough to recreate Burroughs’ vision of Barsoom. [rather similar to the issue that James Cameron had for Avatar] The project remained at Disney, and Jeffrey Katzenberg was a heavy proponent of filming the novels, but the rights eventually returned to the Burroughs’ estate.

A picture of the novel.

Having read the Burroughs’ novels as a child, Producer James Jacks was moved to convince Paramount Pictures to acquire the film rights and a bidding war with Columbia Pictures followed. After Paramount and Jacks won the rights, Jacks contacted Knowles to become an adviser on the project and hired Mark Protosevich to write the screenplay. Robert Rodriguez signed on in 2004 to direct the film after his friend Knowles showed him the script. Recognizing that Knowles had been an adviser to many other filmmakers, Rodriguez asked him to be credited as a producer. Filming was set to begin in 2005, with Rodriguez planning to use the all-digital stages he was using for his production of Sin City, a film based on the graphic novel series by Frank Miller. Rodriguez planned to hire Frank Frazetta, the popular Burroughs and fantasy illustrator, as a designer on the film. Rodriguez had previously stirred-up film industry controversy by his decision to credit Sin City’s artist/creator Frank Miller as co-director on the film adaptation; as a result of all the hoopla, Rodriguez decided to resign from the Directors Guild of America. In 2004, unable to hire a non-DGA filmmaker, Paramount assigned Kerry Conran to direct and Ehren Kruger to rewrite the John Carter script and the Australian Outback was scouted as a shooting location. However, Conran left the film for unknown reasons and was replaced in October of 2005 by Jon Favreau.

Now, Favreau and screenwriter Mark Fergus wanted to make their script faithful to the Burroughs’ novels, retaining John Carter’s links to the American Civil War and ensuring that the Barsoomian Tharks were 15 feet tall (previous scripts had made them human-sized). Favreau argued that a modern day soldier would not know how to fence or ride a horse like Carter, who had been a Confederate officer. The first film he envisioned would have adapted the first three novels in the Barsoom series: A Princess of Mars, The Gods of Mars, and The Warlord of Mars. Unlike Rodriguez and Conran, Favreau preferred using practical effects for his film and cited Planet of the Apes as his inspiration. He intended to use make-up, as well as CGI, to create the 15 foot-tall Tharks. Favreau’s affiliation with the project was never strong, and in August 2006 Paramount chose not to renew the film rights, preferring instead to focus on their Star Trek franchise. Favreau and Fergus moved on to Marvel’s Iron Man.

In January 2007 Disney regained the rights, acquiring them again for Andrew Stanton and writer Mark Andrews. Stanton noted he was effectively being “loaned” to Walt Disney Pictures because Pixar is an all-ages brand and John Carter was rated PG-13. By 2008 they completed the first draft for Part One of a John Carter film trilogy; the first film is based only on the first novel. In April 2009 author Michael Chabon confirmed he had been hired to revise the script. Having completed WALL-E, Stanton and Wells visited the archives of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., in Tarzana, California, as part of their research. Jim Morris, general manager of Pixar, said the film will have a unique look that is distinct from Frank Frazetta’s illustrations, which they both found dated. He also noted that although he had less time for pre-production than for any of his usual animated projects, the task was nevertheless relatively easy since he had read the Burroughs’ novels as a child and had already visualized many of its scenes.

The film was originally titled John Carter of Mars, but Stanton removed “of Mars” to make it more appealing to a broader audience, stating that the film is an “origin story. It’s about a guy becoming John Carter of Mars.” Stanton plans to keep “Mars” in the title for future films in the series. Kitsch said the title was changed to reflect the character’s journey, as John Carter will become “of Mars” only in the last few minutes of the picture.

Alright, so in summary [pardon me for the history lesson], though the idea for the film came about in 1931, proper work in producing the film by Disney only came about in 2007! Well, the reason why I’m sharing with you all these is because I strongly felt that the film would indeed be worth catching, considering the fact that it took so long to produce this film. [100 years in fact!]

So what’s so interesting about the film? First and foremost, I have never read the novel, A Princess of Mars before but having watched the film, it stirred up an interest in me to want to read the original novel; and secondly, I felt that the story kinda touched my heart because to me, the entire movie speaks about how a man tries so hard to leave his past behind, breaks out of his comfort zone venturing into the unknown, and come to love this unknown place which he eventually called home. Not only does the story touched my heart, but I liked the various scenes that were shot in Utah. Some of the locations in Utah where the film was shot included Lake Powell and the counties of Grand, Wayne, and Kane. [do a quick search on google and you can see many beautiful pictures of the place]

Well, I asked Baby how she felt about the film and she said that it was too fairytale-like; which I have to agree with her. Nonetheless, we really enjoyed the film and we would rate it 3.5/5.0 stars. Oh and I have to add, we caught the 3D film and we felt that its effects were quite good. Do catch the film if you feel inspired to! =)

Hello Everyone,
though Total Defence Day is over now, I would still love to share this with you all. Well, for Singapore, we always celebrate Total Defence Day on the 15th of February every year and for this year, the theme for the Total Defence campaign is known as, “It’s My Turn!” Through this campaign, it seeks to convey the message that it is now our turn to play our part for Total Defence and build on what other Singaporeans have done to keep Singapore strong and secure.

Interestingly enough, a website was formed so that Singaporeans can appreciate how Total Defence has been instrumental in safeguarding our way of life through understanding our history, culture and identity, and also engage and encourage Singaporean to participate and step forward to do something meaningful for the community! In case you’re wondering where you can access the website, you can do so here –> www.itsmyturn.sg

This is how the main page looks like

The website has many interesting and interactive contents for you to use and I particular like the “Participate” content where you can create your own event and get others to be involved in your own social initiative. This is definitely a fun and easy way to make a difference in your community!

Here are some of the various social initiatives that some Singaporeans have created and seriously, I was blown away by the enthusiasm of other Singaporeans that I might participate in one or two of the initiatives that were created!

This is one social initiative that I will definitely participate in, “No Red Meat Monday“! And well, it’s easy for me because I don’t eat lamb or beef! But well, as Duck meat is also considered red meat, I shall abstain from Duck Meat every Monday then.

Also, there is a Quiz available on the website to find out what type of Singaporean you really are and because I was really curious, I took the Quiz and guess what, I’m a “Break The Law Only If I Have No Choice” Singaporean.

Now, how accurate and true is that? Well, I would very much say that it is pretty accurate and true because I’m a person who don’t like breaking rules. However, when I practically have no choice but to break the rules, I just have to do it. Take for example, just last Thursday, I was invited for a cocktail/dinner party and because the traffic jam was so bad and I was late [Singaporeans like me also want face mah], I decided to take an alternative route and to do so, I drove along the road shoulder for a good 1KM just so that I could exit the expressway! Oops! =X

Here are some interesting results from the people whom took the quiz

Well, if you are interested in taking the quiz and  find out what type of Singaporean you are, here is the direct link –> http://itsmyturn.sg/quiz/take-quiz

And once you are done with the quiz, you might just want to comment on this blog entry and share with me your results!
