Hello Everyone,
after today’s extremely exciting, challenging, and tiring Bosch Automotive Amazing Race, Baby and I decided to head down to the cinema to unwind ourselves and boy, were we glad we made that decision.

Well, initially, I wanted to catch “Snow White and the Huntsman” but because all the sessions were sold out, we decided on “Din Tao: Leader of the Parade” movie instead. Please don’t be mistaken that it was our last choice because honestly, ever since we caught the movie trailer of “Din Tao: Leader of the Parade sometime back, we have been wanting to catch this movie badly! Not only that, this particular movie was filmed in Taiwan and that caught our attention greatly because Baby and I really miss Taiwan a lot and we just want to watch this movie to reminiscence the memories we had in Taiwan. [Yes, we will definitely be visiting Taiwan later this year again and might perhaps make it a yearly trip!]

Here’s the movie plot as extracted from Shaw’s Website:

Taiwanese performer Alan Kuo plays A-tai, a young man who dreams about becoming a rocker in the US. He quits school in Taipei and returns to his Taichung hometown before following his heart’s desire. A-tai has never been on good terms with his father, Uncle Da (Chen Po-cheng, better known as A-hsi), who runs a dintao troupe.

Our Opinion of the Movie:

This is our 2nd time watching a Taiwanese movie together, the first being “You’re the Apple of My Eye [2011]” and both are extremely excellent movies! Out of a rating of 5, we would give this movie a 5! Yes, we know 5 is like overrated to a lot of people but really, we felt that the movie deserve the 5! [Maybe we are biased, but anyhow, we love Taiwan so live with it!] In fact, we felt that the movie was so good that if someone were to invite us to watch this movie a 2nd time, we totally wouldn’t mind at all. Even right now, our heads are still replaying the movie in our minds. Well, this movie is a lighthearted one and it is filled with comedy, romance, and a little bit of action. It also contains themes that centers on values such as filial piety, respect, honour, pride, leadership, unity, family and friendship. While watching the movie, there were certain parts that were so awesome that Baby and I almost wanted to stand up on our feet and clap for the actors. [Quite exaggerating huh? Maybe you will get what I mean when you catch the movie!]

Well, we shan’t leak out anymore details about the movie so as not to spoil the movie for you; but do go catch this really awesome movie as I bet you that you will really enjoy and savour every moment of it. Oh, and to add on, this movie is extremely suitable for couples, large groups of friends, and even families as well. And last but not the least, in case you are wondering, the movie is in Mandarin and Hokkien but there are English Subtitles available. There are no special teasers after the credits. Do check out their Facebook Page and like them too!
