During the whole month of November, we have received tons of invitations to events and we also participated in quite a number of activities as well. Taking a step back, we started to reflect upon the wonderful opportunities that were presented to us and we pondered over many questions in our head.
Some of the questions that we have been asking ourselves are:
1). Why are we blogging?
2). What are we blogging for?
3). Where do our blog stand in the blogosphere?
4). How can we make our blog posts more interesting and exciting for our readers?
5). Have we been true to ourselves?
To begin with, A Winsome Life was founded because both Baby and I have a passion for food and photography and we want to share our interesting findings with people. From our humble beginnings of blogging about food, we now blog about movies, travel, technology and even fashion. Obviously, being a lifestyle blogger isn’t easy because the range of topics are just so diverse and we have to be quick on our toes to capitalise on the latest trends and developments. However, more than just wanting to stay on top of the news, we really want to make our blog as interesting and as exciting it can be for all our readers, and this is where we really need the participation of our readers. If you have been checking out our blog, we really would appreciate your honest feedbacks, comments, and suggestions so that we can further improve our content. To submit your honest feedbacks, comments, and suggestions, you could either drop us an email at admin@awinsomelife.org or use the contact form that can be found in the “Contact Us” section.
The stakeholders of our blog are plentiful; they include readers who read our blog, advertisers & brands whom we are blogging for, any person whom might have an interest in our blog and of course, ourselves. As a gesture of thanking our loyal readers, we have launched a Winsomelifer Programme where our readers can sign up and accumulate points for “Liking” our Facebook Page and “Tweeting” about us. Each “Like” or “Tweet” will gain you 100 points and when you have accumulated sufficient points, you can use it to redeem for rewards such as Starbucks Gift Card, Popular Gift Vouchers, and Golden Village Gift Card. From time to time, we will also work hand-in-hand with prospective advertisers and brands to organise giveaways on our blog so do look out for it. To make our blog even more interactive, you can earn badges for “Commenting” on our blog, “Liking” our blog, “Tweeting” about our blog, and even “Visiting” our blog!

Currently, our blog has more than 74,000 views till date, more than 13,000 views in the recent month, and we are currently averaging 453 views a day. While we might not be the top blogs in the local blogosphere, we are definitely passionate about blogging and we will strive to be more than just an average blog. If you are a prospective advertiser or brand and you are looking for an alternate avenue to promote your products & services at a rather affordable rate, please feel free to drop us an email at admin@awinsomelife.org and we will be more than glad to work with you in bringing exciting and interesting content to our readers.
Now, on a more serious note, as of today, we have signed the “Blog with Integrity” Pledge and by doing so, we want to stay true to ourselves. If you are a blogger and you want to make a similar pledge, do check out www.blogwithintegrity.com
Here’s the pledge in its entirety that we made and we modified it a little by changing the pronoun, “I” to “We”.
We assert that the trust of our readers and the blogging community are important to us.
We treat others respectfully, attacking ideas and not people. We also welcome respectful disagreement with our own ideas.
We believe in intellectual property rights, providing links, citing sources, and crediting inspiration where appropriate.
We disclose my material relationships, policies and business practices. Our readers will know the difference between editorial, advertorial, and advertising, should we choose to have it. If we do sponsored or paid posts, they are clearly marked.
When collaborating with marketers and PR professionals, we handle ourselves professionally and abide by basic journalistic standards.
We always present our honest opinions to the best of our ability.
We own our words. Even if we occasionally have to eat them.
With this, we hope that you would benefit from our new initiative and stay tuned to more updates from us.
God bless!
