Last Tuesday, we were at the launch of Timotei that took place at Backstage Salon and we had an enjoyable night of bubbling champagne and an invigorating hair wash that was complemented with a relaxing head massage.

Last weekend, we were at a bloggers’ party that was hosted by Luxe Women and everyone whom attended the party were pampered and treated like kings and queens. When we arrived after our hectic day at work, most of the bloggers whom were invited had already started on getting their nails done up and while waiting for our turns, we had the pleasure of going around to shoot some photographs of the nail salon.

When it was our turn for the manicure and pedicure services, we were absolutely impressed with the friendliness of the staffs at Luxe Women.

The nail artists were meticulous and they even went the extra mile to ensure that we were comfortable. Being a guy, it was my first time doing a pedicure service and I felt rather awkward to be in a nail salon with ladies but thankfully, Jacqueline was there with me throughout the process and it wasn’t that bad after all.

An Experience Of The Powerslim Studio at The Spa Artisan, Fullerton Hotel Singapore

5 days ago, we were at The Spa Artisan that is located at the luxurious 5-stars Fullerton Hotel Singapore for the Powerslim Impact Treatment and I had a really good time experiencing the world’s most comfortable slimming experience. Now who says guys don’t go for slimming treatments?!

The Spa Artisan is located at the Mezzanine Level of the Fullerton Hotel Singapore and to get there, you would have to approach the Front Desk for access as it is only open to hotel guests.

Before I began the Powerslim Impact Treatment, a health questionnaire was handed to me to fill up and this is a routine procedure/common practice as with all slimming centres but The Spa Artisan is more than just a place for slimming! There are massage, nail, and facial services too!

Apart from having my height and weight measurements taken, I also went for a complete Body Composition Analysis.

This is the Body Composition Analyser which measures Weight, Lean Body and Body Fat Mass, Intracellular and Extracellular Water, Current Total Body Water, Dry Lean Mass, Body Mass Index [BMI], Percent Body Fat, 0ECW/TBW, Segmental Lean Mass -Right Arm, Left Arm, Trunk, Right Leg, Left Leg and Fat Control, LBM Control, Basal Metabolic Rate.

The accuracy of the Body Composition Analyser is about 98.5% and it will take about 30 minutes. How Was The Powerslim Impact Treatment Experience?

This picture probably just tells it all.

I have to admit, this is one of the most comfortable slimming treatment that I underwent and with the professional and friendly therapist [Atiqah] whom attended to me, it was overall an enjoyable session. The Powerslim Impact Treatment felt as if I was going for a sun-tanning session at the beach but really, what the Infrared Radiation does is that it intensifies the metabolism and the process of burning calories, thus reducing the effect of cellulite and improving the skin’s appearance. In addition, the infrared stimulates collagen production, the main component responsible for beautiful and firm skin. Better still, the infrared heat used in the Powerslim Impact Treatment is exactly the same as the heat from the sun but without the damaging effects of the sun rays!

Last Saturday, we were graciously invited by omy Blog Club and Levi’s Singapore to attend the Levi’s 501 Interpretation Fashion Event [Celebrity Edition] that took place at Ion Orchard and it was there that we picked up some fashion and styling tips from the 4 local celebrities and boy, we sure learnt lots of good stuffs which we will be sharing with you in this blog entry.

To celebrate the 140th anniversary of Levi’s iconic 501 jeans, Levi’s introduced its first ever non-denim Levi’s 501 collection and to mark this really special occasion, Levi’s Singapore organised the Levi’s 501 Interpretation Fashion Event where 4 local celebrities, Felicia Chin, Tosh Zhang, Ya Hui & Ian Fang, showcased their Levi’s 501 interpretation in a fashion parade.

Thanks to Andy from Sengkang Babies and Yvonne from Singapore Polytechnic [SP], I was invited to SPeLL‘s 1st Anniversary Celebration that was held at the Changi Airport Terminal 3.

In case you’re wondering what SPeLL is; SPeLL is Singapore Polytechnic‘s Entrepreneurship Living Laboratory [in its long form] but essentially, SPeLL is a state-of-the-art retail outlet managed by SP Business School and powered by Motorola Solutions. It is where Students from SP Business School can put their business acumen to use.

Anyways, Grace from Working With Grace was there too and she said something like its kinda odd that a dude like me is covering a fashion event. Kinda true but well, men also have got to have some fashion sense, if not, how are they going to attract ladies eh? hahas.

So after registering myself, I was seated at the very 1st row and I had a pretty awesome vantage point for nice photos.

After which, the launch of Verve Avenue Fashion Collection was initiated and the Runway Models were their very own SP Student Entrepreneurs.

Here are just some of the outstanding photos that I took during the fashion show. Of course, they do have quite a number of outfits and if you wish to check out their full collection, you can either head down to their retail store at Changi Airport Terminal 3 or check out SPeLL‘s website [which is currently under construction].

Personally, I find the design of the men’s outfits to be pretty decent, clean-cut, and neat. Though I wouldn’t say that the men’s outfits are formal, but however, the men’s outfits are pretty suitable for occasions such as social gatherings, parties, and for dress down days. It gives people a simple but yet sophisticated kind of impression.

Besides checking out the shop, I also had the opportunity to do a mini interview with one of the SP Student Entrepreneurs whom is from the SP School of Business. Currently pursuing his Diploma in Business Administration, Ian Tan shared with me his personal experience of how it was like to manage and operate a retail store.

From designing the clothing and sourcing for suppliers to managing the inventory and budgeting of the retail store, every Student Entrepreneurs are given the exposure and experience to operate the retail store. Ian also shared that this practical hands-on approach has given them a sound solid foundation of business principles and has also contributed to their personal development and growth.
