If hygiene, convenience and security are three things that you value the most because of your busy lifestyle, then having a wifi-enabled robotic vacuum cleaner is what you ought to be looking out for!

LG Electronics (LG) recently announced the launch of its LG HOM-BOT Turbo+ (VR66820VMNC) in Singapore and it is available in a metallic gold color. This new model introduces the concept of smart cleaning to Singaporeans and smart features like HomeGuard™ allow parents, pet owners, and frequent travellers to keep an eye on their homes wherever they are.

Doubles Up as a Security Camera

The LG HOM-BOT Turbo+ can be remotely controlled anytime, anywhere and it is more than just a vacuum cleaner. Its HomeGuard™ function also offers security capabilities. When set to survey a pre-selected location within the home, it will snap and send five photos of the preset area to the owner’s smartphone when motion is detected. This function gives users a peace of mind when they are away from home to keep an eye on pets or elderly folks.

After being in Motion Detection mode for five hours and thirty minutes, the HOM-BOT Turbo+ will return to its charging station and once fully charged, it will go back to its preset position.

Track its Cleaning Progress with HomeView™ and Cleaning Diary

The HomeView™ feature allows home owners to monitor the cleaning progress of the LG HOM-BOT Turbo+ wherever they are. Boasting a wide-angle camera at the front, the robotic vacuum cleaner captures more details in a single frame for convenient real-time monitoring.

Simply launch the SmartThinQ mobile application (available on Android and iOS) and activate the HOM-BOT Turbo+ to start its cleaning schedule at the pre-selected locations. The joystick on the application allows users to control and direct the vacuum cleaner. Users can also have a direct view of what the camera is capturing on their smartphone screens and allow them to have better control over the cleaning process to ensure the house is spick and span.

The Cleaning Diary function allows users to review where the LG HOM-BOT Turbo+ has been cleaning via a playback feature. With this feature, users can check the vacuum’s cleaning route with their smartphones to ensure a thorough clean at home. They can also schedule a timing for the HOM-BOT Turbo+ to start cleaning or change the preselected locations as preferred.

Efficiency is a Hallmark

With the following features, the LG HOM-BOT Turbo+ increases user convenience while maximising cleaning efficiency.

Triple Eye:

The vacuum cleaner is fitted with three cameras, with the front camera activated as a security camera. The upper camera creates a map of the house by calculating the intensity of light while vacuuming. The lower camera reads the floor pattern and measures distance and slight changes to the floor to smartly clean darker areas such as under the sofa or bed.

Digital Bumper and Smart Exit:

The Digital Bumper feature combines multiple ultrasonic sensors to recognize obstacles in the LG HOM-BOT Turbo+’s proximity and it minimises collisions with all sorts of objects; even transparent objects such as glass. When faced with challenges, the Smart Exit function enables the unit to take various actions such as weaving its way out of tight spaces, backing out from bumps, and detecting ledges to prevent falling or getting stuck on door frames.

Easy Out Dust Bin:

Unlike vacuum cleaners with slide-out dust bins, the LG HOM-BOT Turbo+ has a lift-from-the-top dust bin that minimises residual dust around the bin slot. Retrieval of the dust bin can be done in one easy push to unlock and lift.

Mapping Resume Function:

If cleaning is interrupted, the LG HOM-BOT Turbo+ will remember where it left off from and return to its last position to continue cleaning, avoiding repetition in the cleaning process.

Smart Inverter Motor™:

Both powerful and durable, the Smart Inverter motor is backed by a 10-year warranty, offering owners maximum performance with high efficiency and durability.

The LG HOM-BOT Turbo+ retails for SGD$1,599 and it will be available at all LG authorised retailers from end March onwards.

LG is all about making life good. Staying true to its core mission, we have seen how LG is making a name for itself in the world of consumer goods through its innovative products; whether it be mobile devices, household equipment, or even the TV.
We were recently invited to check out the world’s first curved OLED TV [Model Number: LG 55EA9800] by LG and it is dubbed to offer superior picture quality. Featuring a gently curved, IMAX-like screen, the stunningly slim 4.3mm thin curved OLED TV offers an immersive viewing experience.

According to DisplaySearch, a leading global market research and consulting firm, global demand for OLED TV is expected to grow to more than 7 million units by 2016. If you’re a late adopter of technology and you’re wondering what in the world is OLED TV and how is it different from LED TV or even LCD TV, you might be interested to check out this article, “OLED vs. LED: Which is the better TV technology?” by Digital Trends.

With the gently curved screen and LG’s proprietary WRGB OLED technology, the LG Curved OLED TV produces the most life-like colors and an infinite contrast ratio with deeper blacks and brighter whites compared to a conventional RGB display, offering picture quality that is beyond your wildest imagination. To top it off, the screen delivers incredible colour accuracy regardless of ambient light or viewing angle.

The Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic not only contributes to the extreme thinness but also to the light weight of the LG Curved OLED TV. With LG’s patented Smart Energy Saving technology, the LG Curved OLED TV reduces energy usage by as much as 67 percent, compared to conventional flat panel TVs.

To be honest, what really amazed us was not so much the curved design of the LG Curved OLED TV but the forward-facing Clear Speakers that are unobtrusively incorporated into the almost transparent Crystal Stand.

This new standard in television viewing experience is set to arrive in Singapore soon and the LG Curved OLED TV is now available for pre-order at the following retail outlets; Audio House [Liang Court], Best Denki [Ngee Ann City], COURTS [COURTS Megastore], Gain City [Marina Square], Harvey Norman [Millenia Walk], and Mega Discount Store [Kallang Leisure Park].

With LG’s groundbreaking curved OLED TV marking the start of a whole new era in home entertainment and putting LG at the frontier of today’s technology, will you be the first to embrace this new technology or will you adopt a ‘wait and see’ attitude?

The hefty price tag [recommended retail price] of SGD $14999 really puts people off and we reckoned that most people would wait for a few more years for prices of OLED TVs to drop before deciding on their next TV purchase. Then again, if you have the dough, you probably wouldn’t mind spending it on the LG Curved OLED TV and show it off to your envious neighbours. After all, you’re free to do whatever you want with your money. 🙂

Some time ago, we were invited to preview the Optimus G Pro Smartphone at the Patisserie G @ Millennia Walk, and we had the opportunity to touch, feel, and play with the Optimus G Pro Smartphone.
[Credits to LG Mobile Singapore for the image]

The Optimus G Pro is the first smartphone in Singapore with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display and it has double the resolution compared to a HD IPS display. With the immersive Full HD IPS display on the Optimus G Pro, it offers users an optimal image quality.

The Optimus G Pro sports a very urban and sleek look and with its crystal reflection, the Optimus G Pro is stunningly attractive as well. Available in two colours, Indigo Black and Lunar White, the Optimus G Pro has a size of 150.2mm X 76.14mm X 9.4mm and weighs 172g. Due to its slim design, the Optimus G Pro allows users to have an optimal grip that fits perfectly into their hands.

Utilizing the latest advanced technology, the Optimus G Pro features an array of multi-dimensional user experience [UX] features that enhance the users’ engagement with the smartphone and we really like a few of them. In case you’re wondering, some of the UX features like the QSlide 2.0 are already available on the LG Optimus G Smartphone.

QSlide 2.0

The QSlide 2.0 function allows users to overlay two different screens simultaneously on one display. This hence allows users to do two things at once, such as send a text message or search the web while also watching a video.

QuickRemote

The Optimus G Pro is the world’s first smartphone that is equipped with an all-in-one remote control. To use this function, users just have to register the home appliances into the Optimus G Pro and thereafter, the user can control the electronic devices through infrared signal. The QuickRemote supports up to nine home electronics or appliances such as TV sets, set-top boxes, air conditioners, audio visual equipments, projectors and blu-ray players from a variety of brands. This is definitely one UX feature of the Optimus G Pro that we really love!

Smart Video

With advanced eye recognition technology, Smart Video recognizes the position of the viewer’s eyes and automatically plays or stops the video without any manual input from the user.

Dual Camera and Dual Recording

The Dual Camera and Dual Recording functions allow users to capture pictures or videos with both the front and rear cameras simultaneously. Users can now partake in the video during any special moments and capture all the wonderful expression made from both sides of the camera.

VR Panorama

The VR Panorama function allows the creation of seamless and picturesque 360° view of scenic shots horizontally and vertically.

Pause and Resume Recording

The Pause and Resume Recording feature allows for the recording of short snippets of videos which can then be viewed as one uninterrupted video, thereby reducing the time and effort taken to string the clips together to form a continuous running clip. This is a rather useful UX feature that will come in handy for users whom are constantly producing videos as it will cut short the time needed for video-editing.

In addition to all these wonderful UX features that are available on the Optimus G Pro, the swift 1.7 GHz Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ quad-core processor enhances the processing power of the smartphone by up to 24%! This hence supports data transfers and the launch of resource-intensive applications at blazing fast speed.

The Optimus G Pro runs on the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 platform and has a 2GB DDR RAM and an onboard memory capacity of 16GB. The memory capacity is expandable with a microSD card of up to 64GB. The Optimus G Pro uses the MicroSIM card and it supports 4G mobile networks.

The Li-Ion battery on the Optimus G Pro is removable and has a capacity of 3140mAh. This is the largest battery capacity for a 5.5-inch smartphone. Besides charging the smartphone using the USB cable, the Optimus G Pro can also be charged using a wireless charging dock that is sold separately. As such, you can charge the Optimus G Pro conveniently anywhere, any time.

With the growing demand for 4G smartphones, the Optimus G Pro smartphone is a phone not to be missed as it supports all LTE frequency bands. This makes it compatible with any 4G LTE network in the world. With a quad-band mobile antenna, the Optimus G Pro is able to secure the fastest LTE speeds, supporting both 2×2 and 4×2 multiple-input-multiple-output [MIMO] channel configuration. Hence, it is no surprise that the LG Optimus G Pro was awarded the Best LTE Device/Handset Award at the LTE World Summit 2013 that took place at Amsterdam.

[Credits to LG Mobile Singapore for the image]

The Optimus G Pro will be available in Singapore early July for the price of $868 and if you’re looking for a high-performance smartphone that is stylish and sleek, you might want to consider the Optimus G Pro for your next phone purchase.

From LG Cinema3D Smart TV 2013

The model numbers of the 5 LG 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TV that were on display at the showcase are LA8600, LA7400, LA6620, LA6200, and LN5710 and they are currently available at all major electronic stores as of the time of writing this blog entry. To simplify things, we will be mainly sharing about the LA8600, LA7400, and LA6620 in this blog entry because the other two models, LA6200 and LN5710, are much more simpler in features and we feel that it is better for you to pay a few hundreds more for either the LA7400 or LA6620 and get your money worth.

From LG Cinema3D Smart TV 2013

In recent years, a lot of people have been going for television with sizes that are way beyond what we could have imagined in the past and it is no surprise that people are willing to fork out more moo-lah to get that one special TV that will fit stylishly in their living room at home. Undeniably, the LG 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TV does Look Good in practically any setting and it comes in an array of sizes that will definitely meet your requirements.

From LG Cinema3D Smart TV 2013

Now, let us bring you through to the Smart TV features that are available on the LA8600, LA7400, and LA6620.

Smart TV feature No. 1- Smart Control

The unique LG Magic Remote that comes with the LG 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TV can perform a variety of functions and one of it is the latest Magic Remote Gesture Control that allows you to change TV channel by drawing the channel number on the screen.

From LG Cinema3D Smart TV 2013

You can also perform a Voice Search function that is available on the Magic Remote to directly look for content on the TV and also on the Internet. As the Search Bar showing the results will be displayed in the bottom half of the screen, it makes multitasking possible.

From LG Cinema3D Smart TV 2013

If the Magic Remote is out of reach or is out of battery, the Motion Control is another smart control function which enables you to control the TV using your bare hands and adjust basic settings such as volume, channel, input source and power off. However, this feature is only available for the LA8600 and should you wish to use this feature on the LA7400 and LA6620, you will have to purchase the VC500 Camera and mount it on the TV.

To top it off, LG has even developed a TV Remote App that allows you to control the TV, Blu-ray Player, and Sound System from your smartphone. In case you’re wondering, the LG TV Remote App can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

From LG Cinema3D Smart TV 2013

Smart TV feature No. 2- Smart Share

The Time Machine II is a function that allows you to record TV programmes, save them onto the TV’s built-in memory, and playback the recorded content. In fact, you can also schedule to record a TV programme even when the TV is not switched on. For the LA8600, the Time Machine II has an added feature that allows you to watch two TV channels simultaneously using the in-built twin turner set while you record a TV programme. If the TV’s built-in memory is insufficient for your usage, you can attach an external hard-disk drive to the TV and boost the memory capacity. Conservatively, a 2G storage capacity can have a recording time of about 75 minutes.

From LG Cinema3D Smart TV 2013

The LG Cloud is another function which we found quite interesting and it provides 5GB of free storage space that allows you to share photos, music and videos from any LG 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TV, Android smartphone and personal computers. To access the content on the LG 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TV, you can download the LG Cloud app which allows you to also manage files anytime and anywhere.

From LG Cinema3D Smart TV 2013

What is also new on the LG 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TV is the LG TV Tag On feature that uses Near Field Communication [NFC] technology to make sharing between your Android smartphone and the LG Smart TV possible. All you have to do is simply stick the NFC sticker at a convenient location, download the LG TV Tag On app from the Google Play Store onto your smartphone, hold your NFC-enabled smartphone against the NFC sticker, and then viola, whatever content that the TV is showing will appear on your smartphone for viewing. This is on top of the existing connectivity options such as WiDi and Miracast.

Smart TV feature No. 3- Smart Entertainment

The variety and scope of LG’s smart entertainment ensures that you will never be bored.

Here’s why!

Catering to the increasing gaming fans, acclaimed games titles long popular on smartphones and tablets such as Where’s My Water, Air Penguin and many more are available for download on the LG 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TV.

From LG Cinema3D Smart TV 2013

And that’s not all!

Korean pop fans will definitely like the K-Pop Zone where you can watch K-Pop celebrity interviews and music videos, many of which are exclusive to LG’s K-Pop Zone.

From LG Cinema3D Smart TV 2013

Besides the enlarged content pool, the latest 3D entertainment from LG also enables Dual Play, a feature whereby two gamers can play at the same time and enjoy a full-screen independent view through their Dual Play glasses while playing the traditional split screen games. This makes gaming even more fun and exciting because instead of seeing a split screen, each player will see a full screen of his/her own race field without being interfered by the other player’s view, resulting in a more immersive experience and preventing players from “cheating” by peeking at each other’s view.

Performance

Thanks to its dual core processor, the LG 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TVs deliver a smooth user experience and superior picture quality.

From LG Cinema3D Smart TV 2013

The LG 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TVs are also built with the enhanced Triple XD Engine that gives the display a more natural color expression, deeper contrast, and better clarity. To complement the most vivid and realistic picture quality and to complete the absolute 3D experience, the LA8600, LA7400, and LA6620, come with more immersive sound through the 3D sound zooming. With the 2.1 Speaker System which comes with an in-built subwoofer, the LA8600, LA7400, and LA6620 produces sound of incredible depth and liveliness, bringing the cinema home with booming exhilaration.

Design

The new LG 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TVs embody LG’s minimalist Cinema Screen Design. Sporting a “vanished” bezel, the LG 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TVs subtly blends in with the surrounding furnishings.

From LG Cinema3D Smart TV 2013

The LA8600 and LA7400 comes with a Magic Stand that enables the screen to appear as if it is floating. Combined with their Uni-body finish, the LG 2013 Cinema 3D Smart TVs present a seamless premium design, becoming a masterpiece on the wall of any modern home and will effortlessly harmonize with any modern interior design, allowing you to achieve completion of your interior design personality.

Thanks to SPRG and LG, we were invited to the LG Home Appliances Media Workshop that took place at the Asian Food Channel [AFC] Studio a few weeks ago and in case you’re wondering where the AFC Studio is, it is situated at the Orchard Central and is listed as a Tourist Attraction.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

The AFC Studio offers an eclectic mix of cooking classes that caters to diverse tastes and discerning palates and their repertoire of chefs feature a mix of homegrown talent and occasionally an AFC celebrity chef!

You will see later on in our blog entry that we really had an enjoyable time cooking up a storm but meanwhile, here’s some photographs of the AFC Studio. We must say, we really love the place a lot because of its really organised and neat layout. The environment is definitely conducive for learning and it certainly inspires culinary excellence.

This was our learning space for the evening and here’s Chef Wendy and her assistants preparing the mise-en-place for our lesson.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

While the preparation was underway, we went to explore the AFC Studio and we found some really cool kitchen equipment and accessories that the AFC Studio was selling. There were frying pans, wine chiller bag, kitchen knifes, and even the Nespresso coffee-making machine!

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013
From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

We also saw these badges that were really cool and because of these badges, I was quite enlightened to the extent that I more or less had a hunch on how I would conduct future culinary lessons for my trainees.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

Look, there’s even reference books from celebrity chefs that one could draw culinary inspiration from.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

While the AFC Studio may be a place for cooking classes, it is also a place for food & beverage as well.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

Here’s AFC Studio’s beverage menu.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

And here were the pastries and cakes that the AFC Studio was selling.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

Before the cooking classes began, we were served some light refreshments and they were simply so yummy that we couldn’t resist having additional servings.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

I had the Earl Grey Tea from TWG Tea and I absolutely love it. I know I’m biased but I personally have a liking for TWG Teas because TWG Teas are really fragrant and they are simply one of the finest teas around. Truly, TWG Teas are perfect gifts for tea-lovers like me.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

After having our fill, we were all ready and roaring to cook up a storm.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

The first dish that we were taught to prepare was the Mango Mousse Parfait.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

Here’s Chef Wendy showing us how she decorated her glass of Mango Mousse Parfait.

And there you go, our very own Mango Mousse Parfaits after taking them out from the LG Door-in-Door Refrigerator [Model: GR-J237AGXV]!

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

The second dish that we were taught to prepare was the Bibim Naengmyeon. The Bibim Naengmyeon is essentially Korean Spicy Cold Noodles and here are the ingredients that we used to prepare the dish; some lettuce leaves, cabbage, cucumber, carrot, hard boiled egg, and kimchi.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

And these were the ingredients for the Korean Spicy Cold Noodles Sauce; gochujang, rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, Korean sesame oil, and roasted sesame seeds.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

So here’s Chef Wendy teaching us how to prepare the Bibim Naengmyeon.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

Apparently, we had to cut the vegetables into thin strips and it was really hard work.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

So after putting in all the ingredients that were given to us, here’s how the Bibim Naengmyeon looks like. The bowl on the left belongs to Jacqueline while the bowl on the right belongs to me.

After putting our bowls of Bibim Naengmyeon in the LG Door-in-Door Refrigerator [Model: GR-J237AGXV] to chill, we took it out and added some finishing touches.

This is how a bowl of Bibim Naengmyeon is supposed to be served. Icy-cold.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

Well, apart from learning how to prepare these two dishes where we had the opportunity to use the LG Door-in-Door Refrigerator [Model: GR-J237AGXV] and the LG Microwave Oven [Model: MJ3281BC], we were also introduced to some other LG Home Appliances like the LG Front-Load Washing Machine [Model: WD-1279RDS7], the LG Top-Load Washing Machine [Model: WFT1261DD], and the LG Clarus 1 Dishwasher [Model: D1454TF].

For the remainder of this blog entry, we will be giving you more details about the LG Home Appliances that we were introduced to and for simplicity sake, we will only be sharing information about the various LG Home Appliances that are specific to the model numbers that we have listed.

LG Front-Load Washing Machine [Model: WD-1279RDS7]

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

We kinda like the LG Front-Load Washing Machine that was on display at the LG Home Appliances Media Workshop. Power packed with a number of features and top of the line technology, this LG Front-Load Washing Machine is equipped with features such as the 6 Motion Inverter Direct Drive which results in one of the best washing performances and high energy efficiency that caters to varying characteristics of various fabrics.

The six motions used in the LG Front-Load Washing Machine are Scrubbing, Filtration, Rolling, Tumbling, Swing, and Stepping.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

The six motions used in the LG Front-Load Washing Machine have been designed to dissolve detergent faster and to also minimise wrinkles and tangles while ensuring an even wash. This thus translates to an estimated 45% savings in electricity and 18% savings in water per washing cycle.

The best thing that we like about the LG Front Load Washing Machine is the TrueSteam feature which kills residing allergens and mites in the laundry with 100 Degrees Celsius steam. Not only does steam washing eliminates allergens, it also provides better penetration into the fabrics for thorough removal of dirt and stubborn stains.

The steam refresh cycle can also come in particularly handy especially for busy people because it provides wrinkle and odour removal on laundry that needs to be used in a jiffy. What’s really cool is that there’s no need for any ironing especially if you’re really rushing for time.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

The LG Front Load Washing Machine is retailing for $3,199 and is available at Audio House, Best Denki, Harvey Norman, Courts, and Gain City.

LG Top-Load Washing Machine [Model: WFT1261DD]

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

The LG Top-Load Washing Machine comes with the 6 Motion Inverter Direct Drive but for top loading washing machines, the 6 motions are waveforce, compressing, swing, rotating, rubbing, and agitating. The only major difference between the LG Front-Loading Washing Machine and the LG Top-Loading Washing Machine is that the LG Top-Loading Washing Machine does not come with the TrueSteam feature and is not as water-saving as the LG Front-Load Washing Machine.

With that being said, the LG Top-Loading Washing Machine is tagged with a reasonable price of $1,199 and is available at Audio House, Best Denki, Harvey Norman, Courts, and Gain City. Well, if we compare between the LG Top-Loading Washing Machine and the LG Front-Loading Washing Machine, we personally feel that the LG Front-Loading Washing Machine is way better in value than the LG Top-Loading Washing Machine because it comes packed with a dryer and tons of other features that the LG Top-Loading Washing Machine may not have.

LG Clarus 1 Dishwasher [Model: D1454TF]

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

We’re not sure if having a Dishwasher at home is a good idea because it can take up quite a fair bit of space in the kitchen but if you live in a big house, having a Dishwasher can be really ideal especially if you have a large number of guests coming to dine at your place.

With a water rating of 9 litres, the LG Clarus 1 Dishwasher has one of the lowest water rating among the different Dishwashers that are available in the market and without a surety of doubt, washing dishes with a Dishwasher is definitely way cleaner and more efficient than manual hand-washing. Similarly as the LG Front-Loaded Washing Machine, the LG Calrus 1 Dishwasher comes with the TrueSteam feature that effectively remove tough stains.

In addition, the SmartRack System for the LG Clarus 1 Dishwasher offers users the convenience of stacking plates and pots without much difficulties. Hence, by washing more stuffs with just 1 single washing cycle, you can save electricity and water too!

The retail price for the LG Clarus 1 Diwshwasher is $1,799 and it is available at Harvey Norman.

LG Door-in-Door Refrigerator [Model: GR-J237AGXV]

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

The LG Door-in-Door Refrigerator is probably one of the most stylish refrigerators that we have ever come across and it fits elegantly in designer kitchens. One of the LG Door-in-Door Refrigerator is  the Door-in-Door feature that provides convenient access to the home bar within the refrigerator. So, instead of opening the main refrigerator door that allows cold air to escape, the door-in-door feature minimises the escape of  cold air by up to 50%. This hence reduces energy consumption.

As the Door-in-Door feature is twice the height of a conventional home bar, it offers a much bigger space that allows users to customise and reconfigure the shelves to easily fit large sized pots.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

Personally, one feature that we love about the LG Door-in-Door Refrigerator is the Hygiene Fresh feature that keeps the refrigerator clean, hygienic and fresh. Its 4-Step filtering system removes dust, fungi spore, bacteria, and it eliminates 99.999% of 4 major types of bacteria in just 15 minutes.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

Natural ingredients such as ginseng extract are used to coat the LG Hygiene Fresh and with the automated air purification system, it sucks and purifies the soiled air effectively, hence keeping the refrigerator pleasant smelling. Therefore, storing durians or strong-smelling items like medicinal herbs isn’t going to be an issue with the LG Door-in-Door Refrigerator.

The LG Door-in-Door Refrigerator is retailing for $4,999 and it is available at Audio House, Best Denki, Harvey Norman, Courts, and Gain City.

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

LG Microwave Oven [Model: MJ3281BC]

From LG Home Appliances Workshop 2013

The LG Microwave Oven comes with the latest lightwave technology and its Charcoal Lighting Heater allows cooked food to retain its natural flavours and goodness. With its fuss-free and multi-level cooking capabilities, the LG Microwave Oven is definitely handy for cooking and heating up convenience food!

The LG Microwave Oven is retailing for $599 and it is available at Audio House, Best Denki, Harvey Norman, Courts, and Gain City.

Having fiddled with the LG Optimus G Smartphone for a week, we really like the responsiveness of the phone. With the QSlide Function, running multiple apps at one go is really a breeze and the performance of the phone was way beyond our expectations. In fact, loading games with intense graphics were pretty fast and smooth.

Images displayed on the 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus Display were extremely sharp and lifelike and we really like how the phone optimises the battery by automatically controlling the brightness of the display. The apps that are available on the LG Optimus G Smartphone also comes in rather handy and we enjoyed using the phone very much.

Having said that, we really hope LG will consider investing more money to develop better cameras for their smartphones. Though we really like the Cheese Shutter Function on the LG Optimus G Smartphone, the images that were produced aren’t exactly the best if we were to compare it against the images produced by other smartphones. This is despite the fact that the LG Optimus G Smartphone’s camera has the highest number of megapixels as compared to the rest of their competitors.

So, if you’re looking for a smartphone that packs a punch in terms of power and productivity, and you don’t mind its mediocre onboard camera, you definitely have to choose the LG Optimus G Smartphone. The LG Optimus G Smartphone is available at all local telcos retail stores and hint hint, it’s cheaper to get it from Starhub! 🙂

There are two cameras on the LG Optimus G Smartphone; one in the rear and one in the front.
Although the front camera on the LG Optimus G Smartphone is usually used for video calls, it can also be used to take self-photos too. However, because of the front camera’s low resolution, the quality of the pictures taken are rather poor.

The rear camera of the LG Optimus G Smartphone is a 13-megapixels camera and what we really like about the camera function of the LG Optimus G Smartphone is the Cheese Shutter Function which allows user to take photographs upon mentioning words such as LG, Cheese, Whisky and etc. This Cheese Shutter Function on the LG Optimus G Smartphone is rather useful especially when you want to take self-photos without the hassle of locating any buttons or touch points.

The QSlide Function which the LG Optimus G Smartphone has is an extremely cool feature that no other Smartphones [that I know] offer till date.
With the QSlide Function, you can perform multiple tasks at one time and this really helps to improve productivity. For most of the Smartphones that are available in the market [for e.g. Apple’s iPhone, Samsung’s Galaxy, and Nokia’s Lumia], you can only perform one task at any one time. However, for the LG Optimus G Smartphone, you can perform up to 3 tasks at one time!

The QSlide Function on the LG Optimus G Smartphone only works with the following apps; they are Video, Internet, Memo, Calendar, and Calculator. This means that you can carry out any two of the apps mentioned + one other app that is not listed. For instance, you can watch a Video, surf the Internet, and send a Whatsapp Message all at the same time or you can use the calculator, write a memo, and surf Facebook! Truly remarkable indeed!
