this would be our last blog entry about our Kelong Trip. If you haven’t read Part 1 and Part 2 yet, be sure to check it out!
Anyways, breakfast was included and for that morning, we had seafood porridge and it was simply delicious.
The Kelong also rear their own fishes [which you can order and bring back to Singapore]. Here, we are watching the process of how the skilled fishermen used just a simple fishing line, bait, and hook, to catch the fish!
The skilled fishermen are extremely skillful! Just watch the video below and you will probably get what I mean!
These were the fishes they caught!
After catching the fish, they will descale the fish, take out its innards, and cut away its fins; ready to seal it!
While waiting for our boat back to Singapore [thank God it wasn’t the speedboat], both Baby and I took parting shots at the Kelong. Well, will we ever return to a Kelong? Probably yes; to let our children experience what living on a Kelong is like. Fishing enthusiasts might even return for more fishing.
and so this concludes our trip to the Kelong! I’m very sure most of you are waiting to check out our blog entry on our LegoLand trip; so do give us some time as we consolidate all the photos and stay tuned to our blog for more updates!
