Hello Everyone,
thanks to my lovely parents, Baby and I were invited and treated to the movie, “The Wedding Diary“.

This movie was released on the 9th of February and for those of you whom have yet to catch it, I highly recommend this movie for some light-hearted and heartwarming moments! This movie is especially suitable for courting couples, married couples or even for a gathering of friends and family members.

The movie plot [as extracted from Insing.com]: “The Wedding Diary” follows Daniel (Aniu), an engineer from a humble Malaysian Hokkien family, and Tina (Elanne Kwong) a beauty from a wealthy Singaporean Cantonese family who decides to get hitched. What ensues is then a hilarious set of problems involving both their families and the countless arising differences between the Singaporean, Malaysian, and also Hokkien and Cantonese cultures.

My personal view of the movie:

The Wedding Diary is hilarious and the story as portrayed in the movie carries with it some truth about marriage/wedding. The leading actor and actress were very compatible in their roles and the movie is so heartwarming that you might even shed a tear or two! But don’t worry, the ending of the movie is not those soapy sad kind! If you understand both Hokkien and Cantonese and their cultures, it would also be to your advantage. But if you don’t understand, fret not as there are English subtitles available. If you’re thinking of catching a movie but have no clue as to what to watch, catch the Wedding Diary and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with it.
