Not sure what to do and where to go this weekend? Well, why not head down to the Marina Bay for the DBS Marina Regatta 2015?
Set against the iconic skyline of Marina Bay, Singapore’s biggest watersports festival, the DBS Marina Regatta, returns for its fourth consecutive year to Ignite the Bay!

Held in conjunction with the 28th SEA Games, this year’s DBS Marina Regatta takes place over three weekends, from 30 May to 14 June and there, you can witness top dragon boating and sailing teams battle it out to be the country’s and the region’s best.

Apart from exhilarating sporting action in the water, members of the public can also check out the exciting activities which not only include cosplay, cheerleading, dance and music competitions, and extreme sports but also the dedicated kids zone, the fantastic food festival, and many more!

For the first time, free urban farming workshops will be held for those interested in learning how to farm sustainably in their homes and during the final weekend of the DBS Marina Regatta 2015, the Promontory will be transformed into Singapore’s first urban beach complete with palm trees, deck chairs, and a beach bar. The beach will also feature a 25m by 15m pool where a host of activities including stand-up paddling and stand-up yoga will take place.

The event will also debut “Paddle for Good” where you can do a good deed! “Paddle for Good” simulates a dragon boat race, but on land with the use of indoor ergometer machines instead of boats. Form teams with persons with disabilities [PwDs] and paddle alongside them because for every one kilometre paddled, DBS will donate SGD$100 to organisations that will use the funds to organise sports activities for PwDs. Donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Care and Share movement led by Community Chest.
