If anyone recall Monsters, Inc., you would probably remember Mike [the one-eye green monster] and Sulley [the large furry blue monster]. Now, here’s some interesting news because Monsters University, the prequel to Monsters, Inc., will be releasing in Singapore on 20 June 2013.

Movie Plot
Set about 10 years before the events of Monsters, Inc., serious yet intelligent Mike is extremely eager to start college, where he is majoring in scaring. Things don’t go quite as planned, though, when Sulley happens to be in the same fraternity as him. Sulley shows to be almost the exact opposite of Mike: playful, all-brawn, and most notably large; and he is also majoring in scaring. However, both Mike and Sulley soon become enemies in a rivalry that will tear their worlds apart, including going to jail, but which ultimately brings them together.

Personally, I am excited to catch Disney Pixar’s “Monsters University” because of Monsters, Inc. and it would be very interesting to catch the prequel to the movie. Not only that, Mike and Sulley are very adorable monsters and I like the way they worked together in Monsters, Inc. It would also be interesting to see how Mike and Sulley’s friendship started in Monsters University.

If you’re a big fan of Monsters, Inc. and you’re planning to catch Monsters University you might want to know that on Disney Studios Singapore Facebook Page, you can stand to win exclusive movie premiums and in-season passes to Monsters University by participating in the Monsters Aptitude Test [M.A.T] However, do take note that the M.A.T App does not run on mobile devices.

Disney’s WRECK-IT RALPH [purposely put caps-lock because Ralph is a total wrecker] is going to be released on 20 December 2012 and that is in exactly 11 days time! Well, I’m not sure how many of you are travelling overseas for holidays during that period but if you’re not and you’re trying to find something to do, do mark down 20 December in your calendars and go catch Wreck-It Ralph. By the way, Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph is suitable for children and if you’re thinking of catching a movie with your little one, you could do so too!

Talking about Wreck-It Ralph, I still remember that the first video game I played when I was 7 years old, was Super Mario and back then, the first video game set I own was the Nintendo Gameboy. Trust me, Super Mario was like the best game there ever was during my time. Even till now, I consider Mario as my favourite game character because I grew up with it. Today, there are many different variations of the Super Mario Brothers Game and I am still playing Mario on the Wii that Baby bought for me last year. So, you can be dead sure that I am an avid fan of Super Mario.

How many of you have played or owned this Nintendo Gameboy Set before? Kee-Chiu!

Anyhows, I am really excited to catch Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph because the storyline is extremely meaningful and it portrays how is it like to be the bad guy in every game. I really do wonder; what if one day there are no more villains in a game? What would happen then? Well, I guess that definitely would not happen in a long time.

Here’s the Movie Synopsis of Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph:

Walt Disney Animation Studios and Emmy®-winning director Rich Moore (TV’s “The Simpsons,” “Futurama”) take moviegoers on a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping journey in “Wreck-It Ralph.” Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly, “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,” “Step Brothers”) is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer, “30 Rock”), the “good guy” star of their game who always gets to save the day. But after decades doing the same thing and seeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph decides he’s tired of playing the role of a bad guy.  He takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade through every generation of video games to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero.

On his quest, he meets the tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch, TV’s “Glee”) from the first-person action game Hero’s Duty. But it’s the feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman, “The Sarah Silverman Program”) from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, whose world is threatened when Ralph accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade.  Will Ralph realize his dream and save the day before it’s too late?
