Truth be told, it was our first time catching a horror flick as a couple and movies with a horror genre isn’t really our cup of tea. Nevertheless, we survived the 82-minutes ordeal and emerged victoriously.

Our Personal Review Of Hungry Ghost Ritual

The “Hungry Ghost Ritual” movie was extremely spooky and we were spooked out by the sudden and loud sound effects! There were multiple on-screen scares and coupled with the sound effects, it gave us a really good scare throughout the entire movie.

The storyline was good and the acting was very real. The movie ended with a very dramatic and sad ending and it is probably the case for most horror films. The movie is rated NC-16 for Horror and Sexual Scenes so for those under 16s, it is a NO-GO.

Were we very traumatised after watching the movie?

Not exactly. In fact, if you want to survive watching the movie, you got to understand that horror movies are only scary because of the sound effects. If you don’t believe us, try watching a horror movie without sound and you will realise that it is not so scary after all.

The “Hungry Ghost Ritual” movie is set to hit the cinemas in Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong on 10 July, in conjunction with the Hungry Ghost Festival! If you are a fan of horror films or if you desire to experience some thrilling scares, you should watch the “Hungry Ghost Ritual” movie and tell us your chilling date with the ghosts!

Watch if you dare!
