On a side note that is entirely unrelated, because Baby and I had some unusual cravings for Awfully Chocolate’s Dark Chocolate Ice-Cream before the movie, we were so happy to have our cravings satisfied as there was an Awfully Chocolate Outlet at Vivocity!

Anyway, here’s a movie review of Batman- The Dark Knight Rises in case you haven’t caught the movie yet.

Movie Plot [as extracted from Golden Village]:
Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar(R) winner Christian Bale (“The Fighter”) again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar(R) winner Marion Cotillard (“La Vie en Rose”), as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. Returning to the main cast, Oscar(R) winner Michael Caine (“The Cider House Rules”) plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar(R) winner Morgan Freeman (“Million Dollar Baby”) reprises the role of Lucius Fox. The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on “Batman Begins” and the record-breaking blockbuster “The Dark Knight.” The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.

Movie Review:
The movie is about 2 hours and 45 minutes long and personally, we felt that the movie was of the right duration [not too long and not too short]. We have heard some people lamenting how boring the movie was, especially from my brother but seriously, it wasn’t as boring as what most people would say because from our point of view, the story build-up was consistent and every scenes in the movie were coordinated pretty well. Yes, we do agree that there wasn’t much heart-pumping action as compared to The Amazing Spiderman but what we really like best about the movie were the emotions that the actors in the movie managed to portray. Indeed there were also some lessons that we could learn from the movie and these lessons brought to our mind the morality of society, the consequences of decisions we make daily in our lives, and to question the ethics of business and politics. Either way, the movie had a fabulous closing/ending to the installment of the Batman series and after all these years of growing up with the Batman series, we really would miss Batman. Who knows, there might perhaps be a new series featuring Robin instead of Batman?
