Thanks to OMY Blog Club and The Icing Room, we were selected to receive a complimentary Mini DIY Yule Log Set and self-decorate it. In fact, when Baby received the wonderful news that we were going to DIY our own Yule Log Cake, she was so overjoyed that she started planning how to decorate it on paper.
Baby sketched her idea of how she wants the Yule Log Cake to look like on paper.

So, we planned to collect the Mini DIY Yule Log Set over the last weekend and when we went to The Icing Room at Serangoon NeX to collect our Mini DIY Yule Log Set, we spotted fellow blogger, Ai Sakura [blogger of Sakura Haruka] there too.

Anyways, the Mini DIY Yule Log Cake comes in two different flavours, Vanilla Strawberry and Chocolate. Each Mini DIY Yule Log Set cost $18.80 and it contains a Mini Log Cake, 2 Festive Icing Decor, and 5 Packs of Icing and Cream Piping.

We were ready to decorate our Mini DIY Yule Log Cake but realised that we were given only 3 and not 5 Packs of Icing and Cream Piping. 🙁

Since we only had 3 Packs of Icing and Cream Piping, we decided to make do with what we have and improvise a bit. To start of, we practised our drawing skills on bits and pieces of tissue papers.

Satisfied with my drawing on the tissue papers, I began to draw a gigantic snowflake in the middle of the Yule Log Cake.

This was how my final drawing on the Yule Log Cake looks like.

Since we felt that the decorative items in the Mini DIY Yule Log Set weren’t enough, we bought some additional items such as the Angel Icing Decor and the Christmas Tree Gingerbread Cookie from The Icing Room.
