Hello Everyone,
it was such a busy weekend for both Baby and I as we were fully packed with so much events that happened!

Well, despite the tiredness, we are still going to put up 3 separate blog entries detailing what happened over the weekends.

Our first blog entry will be about our poolside dinner experience with the International Bloggers whom we hosted over the weekends and in our second blog entry, we will share with you about the various Far East Hospitality Properties that we visited with the International Bloggers. Last but not the least, we will talk about the exciting Singapore Blog Awards 2012 that took place yesterday at the Singapore Flyer Heritage Food Trail.

So let’s roll out our 1st blog entry…

Thanks to the good people from Far East Hospitality and OMY.SG, I was invited to host the International Bloggers whom were going to attend the Singapore Blog Awards 2012 and as such, I also received an invitation to attend a Poolside Dinner with the International Bloggers at the Landmark Village Hotel. Because I was early for the event, I managed to go around and take some pre-event photographs with my trusty Canon Powershot S100.

The team from Far East Hospitality were really friendly and they went the extra mile to make all of us bloggers feel like kings and queens literally.

Here are some pre-event photographs of the Landmark Village Hotel that I took before the actual event.

Check out the really beautiful and magnificent chandelier!

Far East Hospitality owns several properties in Singapore and I really like some of their exclusive village hotels which I will elaborate further in my second blog entry.

And here’s the place where we had our Poolside Dinner! The place is known as Shades and I simply love their tagline, “Chill Out, Dine Out, Hang Out!“.

The surroundings of Shades has a rather “classy” feel to it and it is a suitable venue for wedding solemnisation, especially if you’re thinking of having an outdoor wedding solemnisation.

Well, to let our International Bloggers find out a little bit about the various heritages and culture of Singapore, there were a few stalls that were set up where we could literally have some fun by having our faces sketched by a renowned local artist, Idris Ali, sample some tropical fruits such as Coconut and Durian, and get our hands tattooed with Henna!

Here’s Melissa [one of the local bloggers], having a portrait done up and seriously, it is really well drawn.

Here’s Ho Ki [a Hong Kong Blogger whom I hosted] trying out Henna Tattooing for the first time.

Here’s some of us having dinner together!

Well, on that night itself, we also had a tour of the Landmark Village Hotel where we were shown the Suite Room and the newly renovated Premiere Room which I will talk about in my second blog entry. We also had the opportunity to look at the various facilities of the hotel.

To be honest, I’m quite an introverted person but amazingly, I was able to interact and socialise with the various Local and International Bloggers. Some of the Local Bloggers I met were Denise, Melissa, Wei Li, Magdalene, Rynaque, Jeraldine and Charmaine and the International Bloggers whom I managed to interact with were Sock Peng [Malaysia], Jonathan [Hong Kong], Brenna [Philippines], Katrina [Philippines], Squall [Malaysia], Ho Ki [Hong Kong], Rebecca [Malaysia], and Pace [Hong Kong]. It was really an amazing time to get to know them in person because in the blogosphere, nothing beats meeting a person [whom you very much interacted with online most of the time] face to face! In fact, I think I might want to do up a fourth blog entry where I share about the various bloggers whom I interacted with so that you readers can know what their blog is about too!

So yes, the dinner very much concluded the evening because all of us had to wake up really early the next day for the tour around the various hotels. In fact, I was quite surprised that Wei Li managed to round up some of the International Bloggers for some supper at Chomps Chomps!

Well, stay tuned for our next blog entry about the various Far East Hospitality Properties that we visited and you might just want to consider staying at some of the hotels for a staycation!

God Bless!
