Hello Everyone,
as the pace of life gets faster and faster by the day, it is really important that we take some time off from work and the busyness of life to just sit down and reflect upon our life. For Baby and myself, we enjoy doing lots of things together, and spending quality time with one another was all that matters to us. In fact, we pretty much set aside the weekends for the both of us to come together and enjoy the companionship of one another. Well, for those of you whom have to work on weekends or on shifts, it is still possible for you to do the same too.

One of our favourite past-times is to take a stroll along the local park and observe the many activities that are taking place at the park. When there’s a playground that has a swing, Baby and I would take turns to push each other and we would just have fun chatting away and laugh it out.

During one of the weekends, we went to Bishan Park and it was really heartening to note that many people are beginning to utilise the park and spend some quality time with their family members. Along our stroll, we snapped some photographs with our Canon Powershot S100 and here are just some photographs that we would like to share with you.

As I am typing this blog entry, I am reminded of a verse in the Bible from the Book of Ecclesiastes [3:11] and it says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.” To further elaborate my point and opinion on this verse that I was reminded of, check out Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary that says, “Every thing is as God made it; not as it appears to us. We have the world so much in our hearts, are so taken up with thoughts and cares of worldly things, that we have neither time nor spirit to see God’s hand in them. The world has not only gained possession of the heart, but has formed thoughts against the beauty of God’s works. We mistake if we think we were born for ourselves; no, it is our business to do good in this life, which is short and uncertain; we have but little time to be doing good, therefore we should redeem time. Satisfaction with Divine Providence, is having faith that all things work together for good to them that love him. God doeth all, that men should fear before him. The world, as it has been, is, and will be. There has no change befallen us, nor has any temptation by it taken us, but such as is common to men.”

To be honest, the water looked rather muddy and yucky but you know what, Baby and I took a step of faith and immersed our feet into the water. And for your information, there were live fishes [we ain’t even sure if they would bite us] swimming around in the water.

Look at the fishes that were quite well-camouflaged in the water

Here’s us posing for photos. Of all the girls I know, I’m darn sure that none of them would be as brave as Baby to even take a dip in the water.

In case you’re wondering how deep the water was, it was slightly above our ankle. While it may seem quite safe to go into the water, here’s a precaution though, please do not attempt to go into the water when its raining heavily! You will never know how deep the water might be and you risk getting strike by lightning, especially in the open areas. So while it may seem quite fun to go into the water, please also be careful and be wary of your surroundings.

Well, we hope that this blog entry would have inspired you to really take some time off and take a stroll at one of the local parks with your family members and loved ones. Remember, work is something that we will have for all our life but family members and loves ones we have but only for a span of time. We pray that you will make a choice to put your family members and loved ones above work.

Stay tuned for more updates from us!

God bless!
