I just spotted a really awesomelicious deal on All Deals Asia and it is something that is worth checking out on~!
For those of you whom are buffet fanatics, Marriott Cafe is back with a bang after a 3 months long refurbishment. Its new concept now features an open kitchen and multiple live cooking stations where professional chefs take the centre stage to serve up a highly-curated menu of quality dishes from the East and West, giving all buffet fanatics a “Freshness Redefined” dining experience.
So what is this “Freshness Redefined” theme all about? Well, the Marriott Cafe now features a large salad bar that is set against a green wall creatively decorated with live plants and you can now whip up your favourite salad by choosing from over 15 varieties of fresh greens accompanied with more than 20 condiments~! Seafood aficionados will also love the seafood bar that boasts the freshest selection of oysters, crayfish and prawns.
With a number of premium imported meats and products, the buffet dinner offers roasted meats cooked to perfection at the Beech Oven section. Don’t miss out on the Crispy Pork Saddle with Pancetta Prune and Mixed Herbs as it is oh so crispy on the outside and oh so tender on the inside!
Well, for me personally, Marriott Cafe’s most exciting and latest addition to the buffet line-up is the authentic Tianjin delicacies that features piping hot dim sums and live-pulled noodles that are made to order with condiments and the soup of your choice.
Even for those of you whom have cravings for local food, there are renowned dishes such as Chilli Crab and and Cereal Prawns served as well. To round up your meal, indulge in their palate-pleasing treats at the dessert line-up. Don’t forget to try their signature Sticky Date Pudding!
What we really like about this Marriott Buffet Deal:
1). It cost $53 nett per person instead of the usual price of $88! Using simple math calculation, that is a 40% discount off!
2). The deal is valid for dinners from Sundays to Thursdays and expires on 30th August 2012.

its 6 days after new year and my apologies for being away from the blogging scene for quite awhile as I had tons of things to do.
Nonetheless since its the new year and Chinese New Year is also coming soon, I do have 3 exciting announcements:
1). Blogger’s Collaboration
Just last month, I chanced upon Luke’s Blog and in one of his post, he mentioned about starting out a local Singapore blogger’s network/group where we can have monthly activities/gatherings and also where bloggers can gather to defend our blogging rights. Well, I got in touch with him and we are planning to meet up soon to discuss about the possibilities and opportunities to start up our very own local blogger’s network. As a matter of fact, there are a couple of groups which was setup for bloggers before but those which we had come across are either too serious in topic, or are inactive for our liking. What we are seeking here is to form a network/group where we can really be active in terms of having events and activities such as fieldtrips, outings, and etc and as a group, contribute to certain topics such as travel, politics, food and beverage and etc. which may be of interest to the public. Most of the time, being bloggers ourselves, we blog at the comforts of our home and more often than not, we sometimes may feel that we are alone in the world of blogging. As a result, Luke and I planned for this group to be one where we can really be united in our thoughts and be able to most importantly, share with one another and hangout with one another.
Although our plans are still in the pipeline and we are still cracking our brains to come up with an even firmer plans for the group, if you are a blogger who owns a blog and you are interested to be one of the founding pioneers of a potential revolutionary project that would perhaps change the local blogging scene, please do let me know by dropping me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
2). Contraband (2012) Movie Preview at Shaw Theatre (Lido) courtesy of omy.sg
Contraband the movie is an upcoming American action thriller film directed by Baltasar Kormákur, starring Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale. The film is a remake of the Icelandic 2009 film Reykjavík-Rotterdam which Kormákur starred in. It is set to be released on January 13, 2012 in the United States by Universal Pictures.
I am really thankful and privileged to be given a pair of tickets to the movie screening of Contraband by omy.sg Stay tuned for the movie review next week. Meanwhile, here’s a trailer of the movie:
